The Truth

Finding the truth is hard
Observing the decoy is impossible
Returning to reality is difficult

My life can be confusing as
Your life right now, my friend

Fighting all alone at the last
Remaining battle field
Interrupting the peace but
Ending all the greed
Nothing feels so much better than
Doing good things for people

Knowing the truth hurts
Allowing it to devour you
Tells you how much you've learned
Everything is always meant to happen
This is an acrostic poem. You'll know whose it for when you find out :) feedbacks? :)

You called me hot
And I'm still not over it
I guess I'm so infatuated
That every word is sacred

You don't say nice things often
But each time that you do
It makes me fall deeper
In love with you

Your words hit me
With a heavy force
It gets my hopes up
Makes me dream of us

This is beyond tragic lust
Wanting a messed up heart
That you'll never mend
Or call your own

Their actions left a mark
And you can't wash it off
It will never heal with time
You'll always feel a need
To love, love, love
Even if you never receive

If I were a poet,
I'd write words of wisdom and insight

In places of least convenience
In places one wouldn't expect,
Because when searching for enlightenment
There's no chance of finding it

Instead,
I'd write love stories and life lessons
On stained walls,
Crumbling bricks,
The corners of sidewalks

Traps laid for the unprepared
Traps laid to be stumbled upon
Unexpectedly and suddenly,
Perfectly and when needed most

However, I am no poet and know nothing of these things,
Nothing but wisdoms and insights stumbled upon past.
