"stonehearted" poems
Won't say conquer, for that's for the stonehearted.
Win? No...that's society's way of cramming us in boxes.
Smile...yes, that's what I'll say to you dear girl.
For, your smile will triumph over all.
Span your wings and fly they'll say.
But let's be real, there are no wings or a sky to touch
What you have is that mind that travels and that heart that carefully shelters the will to make anything possible.
You're beautiful they'll say, some might disagree
but the mirror, oh my dear girl, is as much a friend as you would want it to be.
See what you want to see, and see it come to life.
Propriety will be hurled at you like it's everyone's business
You're a girl they'll say.
Do this, do that, wear this, and don't..they'll say.
But you'll know what to do and who to believe.
Because that mirror I talked about...that'll tell you. And she loves you.
And so do I my little girl. I've got you!

Stonehearted
I love you and I remember you
Weep for you, yearn for you too.
But you, O stonehearted one
You go about your life daily
Never ever remembering me.
Your heartlessness is my agony.
How can I get your heart of stone
To feel for me, to yearn for me?
Doing this is a lesson in futility.

I've hurt myself by loving you...
I didn't mean too!
I've spent hours, days and years wondering if I'll ever be able to touch your hands...
To feel it against my skin!
God, been years haven't heard your voice. I can't recall the melody. I can't. It hurts, it burns. It kills!!
Why am I so out of luck?
I don't want to be part of this ache anymore.
I rather be stonehearted than be lovesick fool over someone I can't even reach to give it a chance

Dad have never think about his dreams only to fulfill his child dreams
but he never complained about it
He have forgot to sleep
bcoz he want his child to sleep with smile
He is the backbone of the family
He never wasted a penny on himself
so that he can fulfill all his children wishes
He is strict also
but only bcoz he never want his children to be hurt ever
Whatever he do he always comes after mother
because it's hard to see his unsaid struggles
It's said he is stonehearted because he never show his love like a mother do
but they never understand this only for their children's best future
Mother always being like a friend
and father's like being a teacher
both guide their children in their own way
but what's an irony a mother's have given a name motherhood for her struggles,love and sacrifices
but what for father,
Why do he always left alone
because his unsaid struggles can never be seen by anyone
and he also never said that
if he never cries it'd doesn't means he is not hurt or he do not love his children
It's just he himself don't know how to express it
