Where is your heart,
It's a diversion
The glimmering, shimmering
Façade; the cloak
I like bright colors and shining ornaments
I thought I liked these things
Like your eyes and your voice
But it all disintergrates
Like the dust that was once mountains

My mind is the keeper of myriad memories captured by my five senses
I used to think it was all about me
And now I find myself dying to self
I can't make sense of it all
I've stopped imploring
Beating my fists to the floor, begging for more knowledge
I went out and sought the tree of knowledge
So I could take a bite of that poisonous fruit
I never found it.

Sometimes I find myself wrapped up in diversions,
Spellbound
Caught up in a web of hedonistic pursuits
Awaiting my death
I called "save me!"
Like the apostle Peter did when he was sinking
I called out in agony when all the pleasures became pain
An Angel appeared beside me
And guided me out of the dark night of my soul.

Sometimes,
On days as placid as this one
I completely forget what pain is and
How prevelant suffering is
It's too easy to just look out for myself and my own needs and wants
It's too easy to turn a blind eye to the starving child thousands of miles away from you or
The self destructive drug addict next door
It doesn't matter if the suffering is forced onto the person or if it's self inflicted
We need to love all,
Seek to bandage the wounded with unconditional love
And cast fear out of ourselves
The fear of what is foreign to us

Some days
When I'm happy and content
I ask myself,
Where is my heart?
I may never be recognized for the good deeds I've done in my life
But I rather live a life full of purpose
Even if that entails
Showering love onto the ones who are suffering
Putting myself among the lowest of the low
So that I can reach out my hand
And pull someone up to my level of joy in God.

Prepare yourselves for the most spectacular feast
We have assembled only the most remarcable meats
First on tonights menu we proudly present misogyny
Now I know what you're thinking misogyny is so 1920
I know it may not look like much but it has a prevelant flavour
Next up we will be eagerly serving poverty
I know you don't like spilling your wallets for paucity
But a helping of this meal is a good impression to savour
Our third delectable course of the evening is racism
Now I know how you all prefer dressed pigs
Regardless this dish has a lovely taste remenisent of slavery
Our final irresistible dish of the night is war
This meal is very complex a mix of racism and patriotism
It's a dish no biastophiliac could possibly pass up
With that we conclude our all American Repulsive Eaters Feast

Hearts change for the better,
Feelings change for the worst,
Minds expand and grow,
Wisdom and knowledge become more prevelant,
What is your superior constant?

I know that better days are coming
I haven't seen them in years
every time I think I'm better
or that life has delt me a good hand
the gamblers curse returns
and I'm in worse debt than before
this dealer is good
he knows just how to deal to make me play
gives me a enough wins to think I'm ahead
but the house always wins
and the dealer for my life always steals back more than he gives

---I've tried to quit before, but addiction is prevelant and I can't seem to stop playing this game called life.

All of us are kin
Color of the skin
First differences begin
Cancerous not benign

Nature of the act
Decides on the fact
Right and Wrong
Deeply entrenched and strong

Wrongful to society
Words of variety
Prefix added to amplify
Deeds done by everybody

Black market Black Mail
Black Day Blacklist
Prefix decides the fate
Any other other color  meaning wouldn't change

Country ' s policy
Color decides authority
Countries of prejudice
Have no sense of justice

Skin color
Nothing inferior
Judging based on color
Man made blunder

Ownership of another man
Price paid for possession of human
Slave trading an act of crime
Prevelant for a long time

Wars fought to establish
Skin color not to distinguish
Nobel won for trying to abolish
Humanity since stands embellished

White and Black
Not each others opposites
At harmony with each other
Together make a whole

Black and White signifies
Anything plain and simple
Used as an adage
Sends the wrong message

Race decided by lineage
Seeds sown  centuries ago
Different societal norms prevelant
Deep rooted emotions passed through generations

Creates many lines
Superior Inferior Mediocre
Based on DNA
Judged on these parameters

Paradox in search of answers
Qualities acquired can add layers
Race Cast Creed decided already
No act to acquire these neccasary

Rating man within mankind
Putting in a pedestal or kicking him off
Not his acquired sensibities
But a different eras identity politics

A man should never be judged
If at all one does
Its the goodness within himself &   Respect given outside of the self

Generous to a fault
Honesty fills his talk
Living life for others
Trust his better half

A man who possesses
The above as his character
Is not superior or inferior
But a needle pointing to understand human behaviour

Humanity lacking human beings
Lying their tool for bargaining
Divisive of people based on immeasurable
Is Society's most dangerous criminal

If you want to divide
Divide the prosperity
If you want to multiply
Multiply the generosity by paying it forward
If you want to add
Add value systems to society
If you want to subtract
Please delete this race caste creed permanently

We are all one
Borders are only for geography lessons
History should be remembered and forgotten
A twin edged sword

Life life in harmony
With every member of society
When you are alone and needy
You'll understand the value of your own hypocrisy
