People label me a scathing sycophant
A skin-deep, sardonic serpent
They are quite correct
I blur into lives with bright eyes and dispassionate sighs
Like a social chameleon stalking souls
Opportunistically sinking my fangs into hearts
An intraspecies predator reveling in blood
Unreservedly zooming past life’s tolls
Sticking my head out to spit in the faces of the meek
I’m an aberration of moral principles
Very twisted and assisted by inherent callousness
A backstabbing, two-timing, double-faced freak

The Pretender
Nash Sibanda Sep 2011
I believe we are of sound and worthy mind;
That we might cast our constant glare back,
Towards our own transgressions and
Pretensious claims to ascendance.
That we may reflect on our own fortune,
Alive and affluent, rich in life and
Experience ill afforded to our elders.
Perhaps then we might pretend,
If only for fleeting moments,
That we are as deserving as we commonly believe.
For we are nothing if not
The cynical generation, born into
A world so mature that we need be
Nothing but children within it.
We have no politics, no beliefs, no
Drive to propel us into an existence of
Grace and enlightenment. We scoff
At signs of sentiment, we laugh
At barefaced gesture and divulgence.
We indulge in ceaseless pleasures and
Live upon the surface of the shallows.
Yet we forfeit the beauty of feeling,
The release afforded by sublimity;
We are afraid of what is bigger than us,
And we respond with profane derision.
I tire of popularity competitions,
Of gossip and blunt innuendo, of
Social ladders and picking up.
I yearn, with nostalgia and music, for
A time foreign to this weary soul,
A time perhaps non-existent, when
Such games were not all there was.
I look at myself and my peers, and I worry that perhaps we are not as wonderful, as clever, as wise as we believe ourselves to be. And that if we were to realise this, it would surely crush us; for what else does my generation have if not its arrogance?

so pretensious and unwilling to give
your rough life does not give you the right to be so callous and thin
i have things i'd like to say but, you just brush me off
like a hair fallen from your beautiful head
somtimes you are too royal for me
your reign so lushious and full
who am i? you say
i am part of your pride
one at your side
eternal love
eternal hate

You narcissistic Shallow ***** filled with problems and no substance.
You emotionless toxic *** filled with negativity and constant manipulation.
You ignorant neurotic ***** filled with superficial intelligence and no real depth to cover it.
Manipulate me and use your money against me.
Everything you did, was by your choice.
Not mine.
It's not my problem nor my fault.
I'm living my life, not yours.
I'm not guilty for anything.
I feel nothing towards you.
All your psychological abuse is going to bite you back one day.
All you are is money, nothing more.
Nobody actually likes you or wants to be close to you, as you don't want to be to them.
I don't blame the men in your life for leaving you.
I can't even deal with your excuses and constant *******.
You are nothing, and you never will be.
I mean all I say.
I hate you and I always did.
Fix yourself or break.
The way you treat me will come back to you.
I'm not your *****, and you can't make me not say what I want to say.
You can't shut me down in your narrow mind.
So *******, and let me be.
You project constantly and use me as your dart board, with no real obligation.
Everything is by law or by the book, like you have no actual imagination or real intellect.
You narrow minded empty ***** with no space to fill your worthless voids.
Break me down and shut me down in your problems.
Fat fake *****, pretensious as can be.
Get help.
Because all I want is you dead.
