i had this little  tune running through my head
rolling round and round as i lay in bed
playing on my mind with its music sound
this hauntig little tune that my mind had found

i sat there and listened to the melody
as it played away in the mind of me
maybe write some words turn it into song
the when it plays i can sing along.

maybe be a hit be a music star
go to number one every near and far
make me lots of money rich for ever more
get me lots of things i never had before

i have a little mouse i call him mr chips
he likes it in his wheel as all around he flips
spinning round and round as happy as can be
he  his very sweet a lovely chap is he

i keep him in a cage with a little bed
where he likes to go to rest his weary head
when i let him out he sits upon my knee
puts his head inside my cup tries to drink my tea

he very friendly and good company
i just love him so and mr chips loves me

there was once a cat of the sporty kind
he just loved a challenge and had one his mind
he climbed up on a bridge that was very high
then put on a bungee rope  and jumped into the sky
down and down he went on his big long drop
hoping that the rope would bring him to stop
cat  was  very happy is jump it was complete
just like every other cat he landed on his feet

just a picture that hangs in the hall just hanging there on the wall

i gaze at that picture day after day and you never change in anyway

sometimes that picture seems to smile i stare and cry for a while

then im left feeling blue with that picture of you and you never change in any way.


then that picture preys on my mind brings back memories of the loving kind

then my visions fade away leaves my life a lonely day but you never change in any way

two eggs in a pan they were getting hot
they began to boil and sweating quite a lot
it was like a sauna steam was all around
someone with a spoon made a smashing sound
openened there heads and had a poke around
they pulled out the middle placed on some bread
the suffering had gone and a sandwich now instead

just put on your glad rags when your feeling down
take away the sadness and head off in to town  
brighten up your life again and dance the night away
bring back all the happiness and take away the gray
then when you get home  the sadness will have gone
forget about the sadness and the joy will carry on

i saw a little worm underneath a stone
sat there in my garden he was all alone
i sat there a while to keep him company
   then the little worm was staring back at me
worm he wriggled closer he knew that i was there
i stroked him on the head to show him that i care
worm he seemed to smile as if to say hello
he was very happy and his face it had glow
i sat there a while  then worm he crawled away
just a bit of company had really made his day

daddy was a soldier  he got sent to war
me mamma cried when he walked out the door
daddy kept in touch every single day
before we went to bed ma and me would pray

we couldnt sleep at night couldnt sleep at all
stare at daddies picture hanging on the wall
i would cuddle mamma till our eyes began to close
side by side together of to sleep would doze

then we got the news saying daddy he had died
i held on to mamma together we both cried
just like my daddy. i had to soldier on
take good care of mamma now that daddies gone

life is just a game show just a great big quiz
we  have to find its questions and what the answer is.

what challenge will it give us we must wait and see
life it is the host what will be will be.

we must join its game what ever comes our way
find the answers that we need and win the state of play

there was a little rat and he had a thought
of winning a gold medal in his favorite sport
he just loved the bobsleigh he just loved the speed
going very fast very fast in deed.

he traveled to the games so very far away
packed up in a box was his favorite sleigh
he reached his destination ready for his race
unpacked his little sleigh then rat he took his place.

set of from the top on the icy course
all around the bends racing like a horse
twisting in and out sat inside his sleigh
for him to be a  champ would really make his day.

racing to the line his time it was the best
he had won his medal and beaten all the rest
rat he was so happy is dream it had come true
now he wears his medal for every one to view

when a heart is broken it brings you despair

when the one you love is no longer there

everything  you had seems so far away

all you feel is emptiness every single day.



time will heal the hurt and your lonlieness

help your heart to mend take away the stress

then you can start a new find your heart once more

learn to love again as you did before

wouldnt it be nice if there was no sad
if all we new was happiness  and we were always glad
wouldnt it be  nice if all the hate had gone
only love around for each and everyone
wouldnt it be nice if we didnt have to fight
we could have a future so very very bright
wouldnt it be nice if we didnt have to die
no one in the world would ever have to cry
woudnt it be nice if all of this come true
and make the world a better just for me and you

Christmas wont be easy for the people of Ukraine
just a day of sorrow hearts with so much pain
living in the darkness no heating or no light
living in the cold as the frost begin to bite.

no presents there to open on a Christmas day
Christmas time for them now so far away
listening to the bombs dropping all around
living in the fear sheltered under ground

soldiers in the trenches  fighting with the foe
fighting for there freedom in the cold and snow
hoping in the end Ukraine will win the war
then Christmas  will return bringing peace once more

a prisoner was waiting as time was going slow
thinking of his fate locked up on death row
thinking of his past and how it used to be
when he was on the outside living life so free
till there was a tragedy and someone they were killed
a day that went so wrong and someones blood was spilled
locked with regret and sorrow in his  heart
soon it would be time from life he would depart
counting down the seconds to his final  day
and to his final destiny to take his life away

i saw a little orphan boy he began to cry
i put my arms  around him and i asked why
he told me he was lonely he had no mum or dad
he had lost them both the only love he had
he was  all alone with on one who could care
the love that he once new was no longer there
just a little urchin with no where he could go
no one to give him love that he used to know
his tale it was so sad i filled up inside
and the tears i had  i just couldnt hide
i took him home with me somewhere he could live
and gave him all the love that my heart could give

i  must be getting old my hair as turned to grey
the top bit it has gone but the sides are still ok
my eye sights not he same as used to be
now i need a spyglass so that i can see
my mind it is still young and it will stay that way
this is all i need to help me through  the day
so i will cope with age as it comes along
theres lots of love left in my heart this will keep me strong

little tommy tortoise he got bored one day

decided he would visit some where far away

he built himself a boat and headed out to sea

looking for adventure adventure bound was he



after quite sometime he saw an island  shore

tommy went ashore and decided to explore

then he heard a voice coming from a tree

tommy took a look to see what it could be.



there he saw a parrot a friendly chap was he

the parrot said to tommy come and play with me

then they played together having lots of fun

happy and content underneath the sun.



then they took a stroll along the island shore

looking for adventure decided to explore

after quite sometime they found a treasure chest

and to get it open tommy tried his best.



then the lid came open much to his surprise

it was full of treasure that lit up tommys eyes

there was lots of gold and some jewels too

lots of golden bracelets there were quite a few.



parrot was excited by what they both had found

in the treasure chest buried in the ground

now they both were rich in this land so far away

and they still live there to this very day.

there was a christmas robin a friendly chap was he
he came in too my house and sat upon my tree
he chirped christmas carols as happy as can be
filling up my house with lots of christmas glee
he wore a santa hat on his little head
to match in with his breast so very bright and red
he really made me happy on my christmas day
then jumped through the window a gently flew away

how does a rainbow know what colors he must use
when there are so many  from which he can choose
are these what he likes and dosent want a change
would a change of color make him somewhat strange
maybe thats the way that its meant to be
with the colors  that he has for all the world to see

i love to hear the cockerel when he begins to crow

morning as arrived thats how he lets us know.

sitting on the fence he loudly crows away

standing very proud welcoming the day.



with his lovely plumage with colors by the score

he likes to let us know a new days here once more

happy and content with a new day to commence

he loudly crows away while sitting on his fence

i like to watch the kestrel hover in the sky

with elegance and grace in the sky so high

looking for his prey something he can eat

then a mighty swoop he grabs it with his feet.


in between his talons with his grip so tight

holds on to his prey as he takes his flight.

back in to his nest to enjoy his treat

happy and content as he begins to eat.

when cupid shoots his arrow deep in love you go
flying straight  and true as it leaves his bow
to fill your heart with love there inside of you
to last forever more for your whole life through.

a love that you can give a love that you can share
with each beat of your heart. with all the love thats there.
when cupids shoots his arrow and aims it straight at you
then the love you have will be forever true.

i saw a great big spider sitting in the bath
he wore a pair of glasses this it made me laugh.

they had tinted lenses to protect him from the light
to protect his eyes when the light was bright.

he looked very odd as funny as can be
a spider wearing glasses you just never see.

i guess his eyes were bad but it made me laugh
a spider wearing glasses sat there in my bath.

love is full  of splendour it keeps your heart alive
it is there inside you it helps you to survive
keeps your life together helps you to be strong
beating in  your heart as life goes along
it fills you full of happiness  and keeps you soul alive
as long as you have love your body it  will thrive

i saw a great big rainbow spread across the sky

lots of lovely colors shining way up high

mother natures arc shining up above

just to see a rainbow is something that i love.


i like to see the colors as they begin to gleam

shining in the sun sending down its beam

such a lovely sight for all the world to see

a lovely part of nature that we can view for free

i took some angel dust went into a trance
then i saw two hedgehogs they began to dance
making lots of shapes keeping in the groove
dancing there together they could really move

then i saw a rabbit he was rather cute
he wore a fancy hat  and colored suit
playing on guitar underneath the moon
as happy as can be to a rocking tune

then i saw a parrot as funny as can be
talking to himself then he talked to me
he had lots of colors red and green and blue
there were many more there were quite a few

my trance began to clear my vision it had gone
no more dust will i take from this moment on.

theres a big white owl he sits up on a fence
surrounded by the woodland so very thick and dense.

with his eyes so big and a head that spins around
sitting there so quietly he dosent make a sound.

he can see for miles when he begins to fly
flying there so gracefully. hovering in the sky

waiting for his chance to move in for the ****
hovering so gently in the night so still.

heaven is a big place like a big hotel
high up in the sky where all the angels dwell
flying all around in there home above
watching over us from there world of love

to take us when we go. if and when we die.
to guide us up to heaven to there home up in the sky
way up high above where all the angels dwell
to there  place of love thats like a big hotel.

i took a walk today along a nature trail
there i saw a pheasent with a lovely colored tail
there were blues and greens and a shade of red
with a little crest stuck upon his head.

further down the road high up in the sky
i saw little kestral as he was flying bye
flying round in circles looking for his prey
he did a mighty swoop and took his prey away.

then i saw a squirrel having lots of fun
jumping tree to tree in the midday sun
he had a bushy tail as lovely as can be
he was very funny and brought a smile to me.

it made me feel so peaceful. brought joy to my soul
now i feel so glad i took my nature stroll

i dreamed i was in heaven on my wedding day
in the holy land so very far away
a choir of angels sang a wedding song to me
as i was holding hands with my bride to be

it was very beautiful in this world divine
a wedding day so special that wedding day was mine
a marriage made in heaven in a land so free
a wedding that was blessed especially for me

i dreamed i saw the devil in my dream one night
there were lots of fires burning very bright
souls locked up in chains  in the fires of hell
in the devils dungeons they would have to dwell
slaving in the heat working through the night
stoking up the fires to keep them burning bright
this is what i dreamed one wont  i forget
i wont forget the devil and the time we met

people they write poems.  each in there own way

what ever comes to mind each and everyday

some poems they have humour that will make us smile

forget about our troubles if only for a while.



some they write of love and write it from the heart

some they write of sadness make the teardrops start

some will write of good some will write of bad

some will write of happiness make you feel so glad



devoting there free time for all the world to see

where ever there are words a poet there will be

giving us there time as they write away

for all of us to view every single day

i sit and watch the waves as they roll across the sand
rolling in so slowly covering the land
i sit an watch the seagulls gently as they soar
flying in there flocks all along the shore
i watch the clouds above as clear as can be
with a bright blue sky the color of the sea
everything is tranquil and makes me feel so free
the freedom of the shore brings the freedom out in me

there is a feral cat as wild as wild can be
like a roaming gypsy living life so free
shelters any where on the open land
any place he can what ever comes to hand.

hunting for his food stalking out his prey  
something that is big enough he can take away
either mouse or bird or just a little shrew
anything at all anything to chew.

a hunter of the night that gets his food for free
natures little wild child a feral cat is he.

i watched my little kitten as he began to play
having lots of fun in his kitten way
chasing after flies watching as they crawl
then a sudden leap jumping up the wall.

sitting on the sill trying to catch the rain
pawing at the drops rolling down the pane
playing with his ball. he likes to watch it bounce.
when its in the air the kitten he will pounce.

then we he gets tired he lays down on the rug.
falling fast asleep oh so sweet and snug.
dreaming of the fun of his kitten play.
feeling very happy as he sleeps away.

little robin red breast he came out to play
hopping through the snow on a christmas day
whistling out a tune  has happy has can be
filled with lots of joy and lots of christmas glee
with his big red chest glowing very bright
reflecting in the snow so very very white
singing  out his song has he  hopped along his way
bringing lots of joy on his christmas day

i imagined i was a hippy with long black flowing hair
smoking on a joint in the marajuahana air
trippping out on mushrooms at the hippy fair
seeing lots of things that really were not there.

living in tent travelling everywhere.
wearing lots of flowers all around my hair
thinking of the freedom a hippy life could bring
strumming my guitar as i begin to sing.
this was just imagined how it was before
now all the peace has gone nothing now but war.

the world would be a better place if violence it would cease

just a world of love filled with perfect peace

a place where we could live. a place we could be free.

living all as one in perfect harmony.



all around the world  in each and every race

it may never happen but we can live in hope

until the day it does we just have to cope

going back to memphis on the midnight train
back to all my roots going home again
the place where i was born with my family
back where i belong home sweet home to me.

children at the door doing trick or treats

dressed up in there costumes witches vampires too

looking very scary to try and frighten you

carrying there pumpkins lighting up the night

happy smiling faces a halloween delight.



bringing lots of memories when were children too

and all the trick or treating that we used to do.

there is lots of beauty for all us to see
the wonders of the world and all of this free.
the beauty of the land with mountains very high
standing very tall reaching for the sky
the rolling of the waves on a sea of blue
the shining of the moon gently shining through
lots of little birds singing out so loud
with lots of lovely bluebells growing in a crowd
the beauty of the sun bringing in the dawn
lighting up the day on a brand new morn
these are lots of things that world can give
giving us its beauty helping us to live.

the oceans they hold secrets that we will never see
like a thriller novel full of mystery
storys it could tell never to be told
deep down in the sea forever it will hold.

it can tell so much of how it used to be
from the time it started back in history
we will never know what it has to say
its secrets held for ever in the ocean they will stay.

i was sailing in a sea of dreams while i was in my sleep
across a great big ocean so very blue and deep
i sailed in to a fantasy with lots off diferent things
lots of colored fish and some of them had wings

there were diamond rocks that sparkled  down below
with with lots of tiny starfish giving of a glow
there were  colored shells laying all around
lying like a blanket neatly on the ground

it was really lovely and as lovely as can be
in my sea of dreams so very wild and free

paint the world with colors make them nice and bright
add some decorations  to fill it with delight
make the world seem happy if only for awhile
fill it full of laughter make the whole world smile
make the world seem free.  joyful and so gay
paint the world with colors and make the dark side go away

a friend in need is a friend in deed to lend a helping hand
a friend can give you hope and they can understand.

they can lend an ear and they can help you through
whenever times get tough they are there for you.

they are there beside you to give the love you need
a very special friend a special friend indeed

eagles flying gently above the mountains high
hovering up above in the bright blue sky
floating on the air the wind beneath there wings
with elegance and grace and the beauty that it brings
the master of the sky  a bird of prey is he
with the his life so wild he lives it oh so free

let us live in harmony and live a life so free
fill the world with love the way that it should be.

my eyes welled up and then i cried
when i heard that whitney died
she was so special and now shes gone
though her music will carry on

now theres lots of treatments that can make it go
it may take a while  and some bravery
youll get better soon just you wait and see.
