in 1989 there was a tragedy on a football ground
for all the world to see
96 were killed lives just took away
all them were there to watch the two teams play

fans outside  rushed in through an open tunnel door
police had lost control couldnt control them anymore
people suffocating coudnt get away
ninety six were killed on that tragic day

cover ups were made statements rearranged
details by the police they had all been changed
witnesses came forward proved that they had lied
if policing had been better on one  should have died

a mother for fought justice her son was there that day
he was just kid whose life was took away
anne williams was her name did her very best
fought through thick and thin she just wouldnt rest

she just kept on going for her justice fight
time and time again till they got the verdict right
unjustly killed that day she was looking for
then tragedies like this wouldnt happen anymore

anne got what she wanted the truth about that day
killed unlawfully the judges had to say
her battle it was over she got her victory
justice for them all for all the world to see

anne she past away her fight it had been won
she got what wanted now united with her son

RIP to those who lost there lives that day

when love fades away and all the love has gone
breaks your heart in two feel you cant go on
the world that you once knew is so far away
blue skies you once had.  now have all turned grey

everything around feels empty and so bare
love that you once knew now no longer there

i remember hillsborough the story that was told
all the cover ups anne williams did unfold
ninety six died that day anne son he was one
ninety seven people all now dead and gone

anne began her protest to find the reason why
what happened on that day why did people die
cover ups were found records rearranged
all the truth was hidden statements they were changed

anne began a court case took it to the top
till the truth was found she would never stop
it took many years anne she got her way
the killing ruled unlawful on that tragic day

it had took its toll annes health began to slow
knew that she was dying to her son would go
she had won her battle for all of those who died
the truth  about the tragedy would never be denied

so rest in peace now anne united with your son
a new life for you both has only just begun
we forget your name and your bravery
your name will be rememeberd for eternity

i love it in the country with its many things
lots of butterflies with different colored wings
listening to the birds song there morning song
singing it to me as i walk along

lots and lots of animals there are quite a few
badgers and the rabbits and the foxes to
all the different flowers growing all around
bluebells and the snowdrops covering the ground

the beauty that is nature  for all the world to see
mother natures  picture you can view for free

we all have an angel if and when die
they bring us down our wings
so that we can fly

to there home above in the sky so blue
angels all around watching over you
all your pain and suffering now so far away
now your life is free with angels you will stay

free for evermore with the angels up above
where you can fly with them in there land of love
watching over loved ones from the sky so blue
one day you will see them when there an angel to

if had a wish i know what it would be
animals of abuse could finally be free
free from all the fear beaten everyday
i would wish for this make it go away

trust it would return no longer have to shake
just to help them all  this wish  i would make
give them back there life happy and so free
no more pain os suffering would there ever be

i will wish each day till my wish comes true
animals would be free to start there life a new
there fear would gone no longer have to shake
each and everday this wish i will make

got my self a friend he was just a stray
miles away from home he had run away
he was bruised and battered he had took abuse
guess he ran away guess he just broke loose

he was very thin ribs you could plainly see
so the friend i found took him home with me
bought him lots of food to build him up once more
he could be the dog that he was before

his trust it had returned though it took a while
now he lets me stroke him gives a little smile
were the best of friends.  now he wont have to roam.
a place to settle down somewhere to call home.

cruelty to animals really isnt fair
it happens everyday each and everywhere
suffering abuse locked up everyday
no food for them to eat left to waste away

fur is falling out ribs popping through the skin
these are just some states that animals are left in
same thing everyday is what there going through
they have to take it all  nothing they can do

goes on every day time and time again
no one there to help them take away there pain
only peace they get is when they pass away
from there hell on earth no longer have to stay

theres nothing like a pet to keep you company
wether goats or chickens what ever it may be
ducks and geese or sheep even horses to
waiting with there friendship waiting there for you

some they come from rescue  some of them are stray
neglected by the owners simply runaway
looking for home.  someone to take them in
hoping that a new life  is waiting to begin

looking for a friend to keep them company
someone who will care.  there will aways be
no longer be neglected no longer have to roam
just someone to love them. have a proper home

i read about the pets and the abuse that they receive
why do people do this  its so hard to believe
animals have feelings they all feel the pain
when they are abused time and time again

left there all alone cant even move around
with a chain around there neck staked in to the ground
left out in the cold in the wind a rain
no food for them to eat just suffering and pain

it is such a shame it has to be this way
you read in the papers every single day
animals have feelings just like me and you
we will never now just what there going through

when you need a friend a pets the thing to do
then for evermore a friend is there for you
faithful as can be never let you down
a pet can make you smile take away your frown

pets will give there love till the very end
and for evermore they will stay your friend
pets will never leave you or ever go a stray
they give there love to you every single day

if you ever need them they are there for you
with a friendship that is real friendship that is true
always by your side they will always stay
and there love for you will never fade away

when you adopt a pet  then you have a friend
some have been mistreated  take a time to mend
it will take  sometime  before they come to you
someone who is kind they never really knew

the confidence they had is no longer there
all lifes been to them is nothing but a scare
if you treat them right your pet inside will know
then eventually to you  your little friend will go

he will let you stroke him lie down next to you
start his life again start again a new
give you all his love when his trust is won
he will know for sure his new life as begun

cruelty to animals goes on everyday
how many does it happen to we really just cant say
neglected by there owners with suffering and pain
with no food or water ******* on a chain

shivering and shaking when anyone comes near
all they really know is a life of constant fear
rescues and the shelters are called out everyday
giving them a place where they can safely stay

finding them home where they can get away
from there living hell where they used to stay
someone who will care help to pull them through
away from all there cruelty. hell that they once new

why do animals get rejected
kept a while and then neglected
left to starve. chained up all day
till there lives have past away

why does it have to be this way
a pets for life not just a day
not to be kept if you cant cope
let animal rescue give them hope

they all have the right to live
just like humans love they give

when  i was just lad in my younger day
i had friend called duke we just love to play
roaming through the hills  the valleys down below
all the different places  duke i would go

remember when i bought him he was six weeks old
just a little puppy with a heart of gold
took him home with me gave him love and care
every where i went duke was always there

we had so much fun doing different things
happiness to me duke he always brings
and as  the years past by.  duke was growing old
his eyes began to fade he always felt the cold

then the angels came took old duke away
now in heaven up above he would have to stay
one day i will join him see old duke once more
then we can play again just like we did before

when i just a kid ma she bought for me
a little  puppy dog to keep me company
he had shiny eyes so i called him shine
now had a friend someone to call mine

we grew up together always there with me
always by my side shine would always be
we  would go for walks together side by side
he was my best friend fills my heart with pride

when ever i was down right there he would be
lay down by my side keep me company
shine he always knew when ever things went wrong
he would comfort me help to keep me strong

he his my best friend and i love him so
i  will love him always and never let him go

i got a little goldfish won him at the fair
through his little bowl he began to stare
looking straight at me in a bowl that was to small
no room to swim around no room there at all

i took home with bought a bigger home
put the fish inside where he began to roam
bought some little plants put some rocks in to
now his goldfish life had a different view

bought a little friend so he had company
this it made him smile happy now was he
now from a goldfish bowl full of misery
i was glad that day i took him home with me

got myself a kitten mischief is her name
to my cheeky friend life is just a game
doing all the things that little kittens do
always make you smile when your feeling blue

she is always happy never ever dull
plays around for hours with a ball of wool
tries to catch the flies on the window pane

then when she gets tired her eyes begin to close
climbs upon my knee for her little doze

i walked the cliffs of dover along the dover shore

then it all went wrong you walked away from me
now the love i knew is just a memory
of the way it was how it used to be
before you walked away the day that you left me

i still walk the shore think how it used to be
side by side together when there was you and me
underneath the moon on the dover shore
wishing you were here in love again once more

i had a funny dream of bluebirds flying by
along the cliffs of dover high up in the sky
then they started singing a lovely bluebird song
like a choir of angels as the flew along

in perfect harmony there bluebird song of love
singing it to me from way up high above
every note in tune with a lovely melody
i wont forget there love song that they sang to me

hope i dream again of the bluebirds in the sky
listen to there song as they go flying bye

love it is a gift there inside of you

when the time is right your heart will let you know
you will feel the love as it begins to flow

such a lovely feeling you will feel inside
when loves about start from it you cant hide

i have a little cat as white as white can be
my furry little friend means the world to me
he has bright blues the color of the sea
