while sitting in my garden rather late last night
it was nice and  cool the stars were shining bright
  the moon was shining brightly high up in the sky
suddenly from no where a dormouse  caught my eye

he was very cute  and very friendly to
looking for some food  for a  scrap or two
i sat there amazed as  he wandered round
looking  for some bird seed left there on the ground

it filled my heart with joy brought a smile to me
roaming round my garden roaming wild and free
i will hold  the mouse in my memory
my little dormouse visitor  that brought a smile to me

i walked along the river the moon was shining bright
all along the river bank lighting up the night
stars like little diamonds shining way up high
clouds like sheets of silk gently floating bye

the world it felt so peaceful gentle as can be
warmed my heart inside woke the soul in me
i wont forget the night that made me feel so calm
there in all its beauty filled with so much charm

life is full of mystery adventures all around
all around the world these things can be found
big adventure play ground  a mystery or two
and the way to solve them that is up to you

it can be exciting full of different things
you just know what mysteries it brings
each and every corner that you turn around
adventures and mysteries are there to be found

i just love the guide dogs there gentle and so kind
dedicate there life caring for the blind
right there by there side every single day
they become there eyes.   guide them on the way

help them cross the road when its safe to go
they are trained that way guide dogs always know
dedicate there lives to caring for the blind
always very loving and forever kind

a very special dog that give the blind the hope
there forever  friend there to help them cope

life has many twists at each and every turn
as we go through life we have to live and learn
what ever comes along we learn to adjust
and in your decisions you must learn to trust

take life as it comes use your faith and hope
what ever comes along with it you can cope
life is up and down each and every day
lots of twists and turns all along the way

i love to look at nature and everything thats there
everywhere you look theres beauty everywhere
all the many flowers growing wild and free
showing of there blooms for every one to see

i love to watch the squirrels climbing in the trees
having lots of fun  climbing with such ease
all the many birds up in the trees so high
singing out there song there morning lullaby

all the many butterflies with colors by the score
red and gold and green and a whole lot more
there are many creatures roaming all around
you see them everywhere along the forest ground

these are things of nature that i like to see
there in all there beauty that we can view for free

maple cottage is a lovely place not far away from me
a lovely country house with lots of scenery
like something from a fairy tale such a lovely view
there are lots of birds there are quite a few

singing in the morn bringing in the day
all in harmony it melts your heart away
they are very friendly and just love to feed
i sit there and watch as they eat there seed

such a lovely place with nature all around
there at maple cottage heaven can be found
lots of scenery lots of things too view
beauty every where a fairy tale come true
