when you sit there cry sitting in despair
feeling so alone no one there to care
wishing there was someone to keep you company
someone who would listen help you with your plea

there are places you can go  to tell your troubles to
people you can phone  waiting there fo you
if you sit alone thats no good at all
just pick up the phone give someone a call

i have a friend called robin he comes to visit me
he sits in my garden on my apple tree
sings his robin song in his robin way
it is very beauitiful melts my heart away

such a lovely song every note in key
singing loud and clear in perfect harmony
when his song has finished  flies into the sky
almost brings a tear  as i wave goodbye

when the sun is out it always brings a smile
a little happiness if only for a while
brings a little warmth when you feeling down
makes you smile again takes away your frown

then comes back the rain to take it all away
takes away the sunshine turns the clouds to grey
makes you sad again gone now has  the smile
hope it will return if only for awhile

stand up and be strong when your past has gone
put it all behind you walk away move on
what is done is done you cant turn it round
you just carry on till you find new ground

then the past will go if you want it to
you can make it happen it is up to you
start again a fresh wih a different view
forget about the past start again  a new

if everyone was cheerful there would be no sad
just a world of happines. life would be so glad
lots of smiling faces we would always see
just a world so joyful no more misery.

wouldnt it be nice if we could be this way
just a happy world each and everyday.
smiles on every face filled with such delight
the world would be a happy place cheerful and so bright

i saw a little dog he was on the roam
he looked like a stray looking for a home
routing through the bins looking for a treat
hoping he could find something there to eat

he looked very thin as scruffy as can be
so i called him over an took him home with me.
i gave the dog a bath brushed his knotted hair
there were lots of knots they were everywhere.

then i got a bowl filled it with some meat
mixed it up with biscuits a proper doggy treat
the little dog was happy he had found a home
somewhere he could live and didnt have to roam.

dog he settled down as happy as can be
and i love him so he means the world to me.

i heard a bluebird singing  such a lovely tune
beneath the stars so bright and the silver moon
a lovely melody with such a lovely beat
it filled my heart with love and swept me of my feet

every note in time every note in tune
with his gentle voice i began to swoon
it made me feel serene and so very calm
a lovely song of love filled with so much charm

then he flew away in to the midnight sky
flapped his wings so gently as he said goodbye
