love is just a word letters only four
each and everday love grows even more
makes you feel so happy makes you feel brand new
you will feel its power there inside of you

it will last forever as long as you may live
always in your heart there for you to give
in love for evermore for your whole life through
with a love thats real and stay forever true

when sorrow comes to you it tears your world apart
leaves you in despair as it breaks your heart
tears begin to fall rolling down your face
there inside your heart theres an empty space

all you have are memories of all you ever knew
then sorrow came along took it all from you
as the time goes by time will heal the pain
the sorrow it will go and you can love again

soon it will be warmer spring is on its way
just around the corner not to far away
daffodils and tulips they begin to grow
to fill the world with color with there flower show

trees begin to bud filling branches that are bare
replacing all the leaves that were hanging there
birds begin to sing bringing in the dawn
singing loud and clear on springtime morn

sun begins to shine to brighten up the day
warm again once more. winters gone away

i love it in the spring when it comes around
watching all the flowers pushing through the ground
snowdrops and the crocus and the bluebell  to
reaching for the light in the morning dew

daffodils and primose spreading all around
a carpet of flowers adding color to the ground
robin on the fence sings his springtime song
happy as can be has he bobs along

these are all the things that we see in spring
the beauty that is nature with lots of joy to bring

why is there so much violence in the world today
violence always there never far away
stabbings and  the shootings it is getting worse
living in a world with a killing curse

soldiers fighting wars killing everywhere
civillians getting killed is it really fair
women and there children getting wiped away
living with there terror every single day

peace it just means nothing it is just a word
been replaced by violence a word thats always heard
it such a shame it has to be this way
peace that we once knew now so far away

when a heart has love and that love is true
forever in your heart love will stay with you
it will never leave or ever fade away
always there for you each and every day

a love that is for real and forever true
there to last a lifetime for your whole life through
it will never die or ever slip away
there inside your heart forever it will stay

i heard a skylark sing in the early morn
his lovely lullaby bringing in the dawn
a touching melody that took my heart away
i listened to his song bringing in the day

when he finished singing.  into the sky he flew
high up in the sky in the morning dew
i still sing his song with its lovely melody
in my mind for ever his song will always be
