i heard a robin singing in the christmas snow
such a lovely song that gave my heart aglow
every note in time every one in key
i sat there and listened to the song he sang to me

it took my breath away as he began to croon
his lovely robin song with such a lovely tune
something i will hold in my memory
in my mind for ever his song will stay with me

life it gives us sunshine life it gives us rain
it can bring us love.  heartache and the pain
make us feel so happy make us feel so glad
it can make us cry make life feel so sad

these are things of life that we have to face
all across the universe each and every place
life it still goes on  we take it day by day
stand up and be strong what ever comes our way

i saw a little white dove sat up in a tree
while walking it the forest look down at me
he began to sing in the branches up above
a lovely melody that filled my heart with love
