i took a trip to dover walked along the shore
somewhere i could visit ive never been before
saw the cliffs of dover white as white could be
stand high and tall looking out sea

sat and watch the sea coming home once more
rolling very gently covering the shore
everything so gentle warmed the heart and me
i wont forget my visit to dover by the sea

i had a dream of bluebirds flying in the sky
singing songs of love as they were flying by
flying all in unison singing all in tune
my heart began to melt as they began to croon

with there bright blue feathers flying high above
singing all together there lovely song of love
i wont forget the dream or the bluebirds that i saw
i hope that they return in to my dreams once more

when the bluebirds fly along the dover shore
all around the cliffs as they gently soar
singing songs of love as the go flying bye
reminds of the time when there was you and i

very much in love we walked the dover shore
looking at the tide coming home once more
walking hand and hand holding on to me
these are things i cherish in my memory

we would watch the bluebirds flying up above
you and i together very much in love
singing out there song as they go flying bye
all around the cliffs they would gently fly.

when love has a bad day and you begin to row
wish you never took your holy marriage vow
fighting with  each other till one of you gives in
at the end of the day none of you will win

then when the morning comes  you start another day
yesterday as gone thats now passed away
the makin ups been done you both said your piece
when love is true it well never cease

while i was in the garden a robin came to me
he was very tame and jumped up on my knee
sang his robin song  singing loud and clear
took my heart away almost made me tear

such a lovely song with a lovely melody
everynote in tune everyone in key
he looked very happy  having lots of fun
singing just for me in the autumn sun

happy birthday  mum 94 today
in heaven up above so very far away
miss you everyday your still here with me
in my heart and soul you will always be

when my time as come for me to fly to you
to heaven up above in the sky so blue
together once again  my mother i will see
united once again like it used to be

the world is full of violence and its getting worse
it all around the world with its evil curse
gone now as the safety that we used to know
violence it is there everywhere we go

young ones throwing lives away to just get a thrill
with there zombie knives and some blood to spill
people live in fear everwhere they go
gone now has the peace that they used to know

it is such  a shame it has to be his way
we see in the papers read it everyday
maybe in the future the world may turn around
and the violence in the world will be no longer found
