Why do we miss
what breaks our heart
which is worse, lonely or just alone
why do we miss
the fiery passion of a kiss
that holds us 'til we're no longer apart
why do we miss
what breaks our heart
My sad and sweet name twisted around his tongue with drunken fantasy.
Merely an expression of something else, made in his head.
Manifesting before him.
Manifesting into him.
Manifesting for him.
As he grabs a fistful of my hair and pins me to the ground.
Manifesting.
And then I can't breathe.
Is it the body unconsciously laying on top of my tiny corpse?
Corpse.
I was dead.

Your veins are the roads I will travel
As I unfold your body
And plot each point with a fingerprint
I try to leave the land
The way I found it
But a trip always changes the traveler
And I don't want to go home.
there is always that space there
just before they get to us
that space
that fine relaxer
the breather
while say
flopping on a bed
thinking of nothing
or say
pouring a glass of water from the
spigot
while entranced by
nothing

that
gentle pure
space

it's worth

centuries of
existence

say

just to scratch your neck
while looking out the window at
a bare branch

that space
there
before they get to us
ensures
that
when they do
they won't
get it all

ever.
It's hanging over me like a hammer
I'm just waiting for it to come down
But still I can't stop
It is the truth after all
But the truth doesn't always set you free
No, maybe some people
But never me
I wait everyday for that hammer
But I can never stop
I will never live
Or die
On my knees
I just know
Someday
I'm gonna get the truth
Hammered outta me
