Pardon me, do you have change for a quarter?
I gotta make a phone call, thank you
Oh, I hope this woman don’t take me through no changes today
‘Cause I’ve had a hard day today, man, you know
Let me see what’s happenin’ at the address ‘fore I go home*

How you doin’, I hope you’re fine
Did your day take you through changes and mess up your mind?
I just called to say that I’m on my way
Whoa, and I’ll see you when I get there

I hope you’re in a good mood
You know a man’s home is his castle, and I’m comin’ home to groove
Whoa, and I’ll see you when I get there
I’ll see you when I get there

And you’ll be ready for good lovin’
You’ll be ready for good lovin’
‘Cause I’ve worked hard all day
Now I’m comin’ home to be with the one I love

Candlelight, cold wine, soft music on the radio
And you got everything you need from the store
‘Cause I’ll be in for the evening and I don’t wanna come out no more
Whoa, and I’ll see you when I get there
I’ll see you when I get there

And you’ll be ready for good lovin’
You’ll be ready for good lovin’
‘Cause I’ve worked hard all day
Now I’m comin’ home to lay and relax my mind

Whoa, I’ll see you when I get there
I’ll see you when I, see you when I get there, baby
[I’ll see you when I get there] I’ll see you when I get there
[I’ll see you when I get there] I’ll see you when I get there, baby
[I’ll see you when I get there] See you when I get there
[I’ll see you when I get there] See you when I get there, baby

Whoa, I’ll see you when I get there
I’ll see you when I get there

And you’ll be ready for good lovin’
You’ll be ready for good lovin’
‘Cause I’ve worked hard all day
Now I’m comin’ home to lay and relax my mind

Whoa, I’ll see you when I get there
I said I’ll see you when I get there, baby
I said I’ll see you when I get there
I said I’ll see you when I get there, baby

I said I might have to run all the way
Because the bus might be slow today
I’ve been thinkin’ about you all day long
And I just can’t wait to get home

I’ll see you when I get there
I’ll see you when I get there, baby
[You’ll be ready] I’ve been workin’ hard all day, you’ve been on my mind
[You’ll be ready] I can’t go on without you, darling, by my side
[I’ll see you when I get there] I’ll see you when I get there
[I’ll see you when I get there]
[I’ll see you when I get there] I’ll see you when I get there, baby!

sub-entry: 'rail'

1.
I'm your railroad
to where you want to go
climb aboard
fret none

sit back and relax
look out the window
and dream away

feel that breeze
      kiss your face
      lift your hair
brush your cares...gone

see the sheep at pasture
feel the green fields whizz by
poles at intervals
folk as dots, standing still
wagons trudge along

2.
ant on glass
see it walk so bold
across the sky

let landscapes roll along
at terrific speed
feel the jolt-less ride
as you float on foreign feelings
thrum..thrum..thrumming on

clackety-clack, clack!
rhythmic
hum to a tuneless channel

cradling on your lap
a book on philosophy
you shan't be reading
nor really needing, ha!
(go on, pretend all you like:)

no traffic jam
only
in your head

3.
boat's too slow
car's too noisy
bus too high
foot is sore
rail is best

this one can let you glide
up
onto that highway in the sky

4.
waste precious time
having jolly fun, man
on me

look out, baby
look out
and see the reflection
of my face
on the edges
of your thoughts

hey, no need to hide
your smile so beautifully unbidden
into your hand
give it
oh, see how you ache to just give it!

no late arrival
only
what you really want, darling
you know it, too
don't you?

5.
spill some freakin' smiles
over that fatigued mind
rinse merriment
all over
and soak in some
fab laughs

time to ditch the glum
just for today
please

have a slow Bell's...smooth flow
unmixed
as it were
plus an unmessy *******
and no Muzak

come
climb on
no tax, no toll
this is
just for you:
sweet supremo
all-time waxless ride ...

6.
this railroad
wasn't made today

it can take you, baby

it will take you
where you wanna go :)

oh, clackety-clack
CLACK...!
that’s that area
the right distance
from the host star
where life is possible
and water will not disappear
or be locked in
and there’s a planet
and it’s just right for life

Goldilocks wandered
into the cottage
and she found
the first bowl too hot
another too cold
and - *yum!
– one just right

Goldilocks wandered
into the living room
and she found
the first chair too big
another still a little not right
and -  oh so comfy! – one just right

Goldilocks wandered
into the rooms
and she found
the first bed too hard
another too worn out
and - zzzzzz! – one just right

*Ah, lovely Goldilocks
Itinerant Goldilocks -
see we’ve sent you now
on inter-stellar voyages
and you’re now in the just right zones
You’ve gone places, Goldilocks;
You’ve gone the distance -
the little girl who’s made it to the stars
"Terrestrial planets are also more likely to lie in the Goldilocks zone. Also called the habitable zone or life zone, the Goldilocks region is an area of space in which a planet is just the right distance from its home star so that its surface is neither too hot nor too cold. " - from How Stuff Works
A gleaming, sharpened  sword, SHE could **** without bloodshed,
HE is Buddha's gift of light, surging above, wind and waves,
they wouldn't cross each other's path it would seem, from the outset,
                                      but both are sublime,
in higher realms they permeate, in greater cycles they spread,
the sword that's her at that level of awareness
never would shed or touch blood, but cut away confusions, with light,
whichever be the path, once one  becomes accomplished,
peace would fill and lighten the soul, preparing to soar to the abode eternal.
eternal thanks to the likes of open flowers as these
always a-blossom
rendering life
so worth
living

Feeling inspired by Mark Twain, of late....oh, the fine thoughts which spilled from him ...wow.

Samuel Langhorne Clemens (November 30, 1835 – April 21, 1910),[1] better known by his pen name Mark Twain, was an American author and humorist. He wrote The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (1876) and its sequel, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1885),[2] the latter often called "the Great American Novel." (WikiPedia)

Also listening to 'Scarborough Fair'.

Sub-entry:  “faire”

1.
will ye go to the faire with me, dear thing?
walk over the lea and pick wild daisies for yer hair
please, let me whisper sweet honeyed songs in yer mind .

2.
deep-red apple-toffee syrup on yer cotton shirt
oh, I have something splendid to give ye this eve
we share moonlit love under a twinkling canopy.

3.
come with me..

(oh yes :)

i wanna unfold you
peek into the deepest parts
slipping my fingertips
into the secret spots
of your soul

i wanna unfold you
touch your body with my nose
tracing lines delicately
leaving the right path
that you want

please
let me unfold you
wrap myself into the heart of you
creating the softest fireworks
that can only be felt
by explosions
of your pulse and mine

please
oh please

let me unfold you
If you should ever mourn
for the trickery of distance
take heart, my clever love
for I am there.

I never left you.

Close your eyes.
Can't you feel me?
The Trans-Canada Highway winds all through your veins
and I'm travelling from limb to limb, leaving mementos in all your provinces.

Inhale, your cranium is my house.
Our mingled memory, the portraits of every hallway
reanimating CBC radio conversations of our own frequency.

Now...
Open your eyes.
They are my electricity.
You need merely to exist
to keep turning me on.

Listen to the silence, the thrum of blood in your ears
is my car pulling into our driveway-

Speak words of love, for your mouth is my bedroom-

Look closer-

And I know you will see us plainly.

We are never, ever apart.
round and round
they go

counting, counting
so long....

1.
hardly time to eat
let alone a coffee-on-the-go
yet always make an effort
for two or three daily suspended-
cafés
a poor soul will pop in later

no time, no time...

2.
emails by assignment
work-related crap
for this assiduous pair
very* far apart
alive and available
yet caught in
formulae and science
holding sway above chit-chat

no time for play
just punch in digits
and calculate
always counting
without accounting any real loss

computing life-time
for
success

3.
then, one day
by sheer chance
he sent her an Einstein quote:
"Not everything that counts can be counted,
and not everything that can be counted counts."

in her tiny office cubicle
she suddenly saw flowers
of all colours
blossom before her
erstwhile
unseeing eyes

she didn't understand....

4.
for one full year
they swopped more than equations:
         deep reminders of life
         such gems of worth
         paradoxical beauts
all encapsulated in
the vessel of silent words

he loved sending her quotes
      to uplift her quiet spirit
she repaid his efforts
     in heart's core poems

PC keyboard playing postman
while
heartbeats monitor
new algorithms

then, they saw it ....
they finally understood.

5.
work progressed
and presentation due
project done

although never met nor seen
       they felt growing synchrony
       and developing emotions
they battled to chase it off
as they both were
born of discreet essence

they agreed to meet in a year
at the fountain near
the oldest tree in Paris
at the
Square René-Viviani
in the fifth arrondissement

oh, so very long to wait...

6.
many weeks were spent
in daydreams
of delicious crêpes-suzettes and strawberries
with maple syrupy strips
and super-strong espresso
at bistros on
cobbled-****** squares

and munching baguette
with Emmenthal and salade
         walking in parks together
         lancing wish-pennies
and getting portraits near the Seine
blue skies in dream-eyes
with birds in elm trees

deeply into each other

7.
then....
some shock was revealed
which would spin
e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g
so wildly out of orbit
for her

fate was playing games...
and laughing so wickedly
awarding such onerous toll

she understood....

8.
the time ticked by
mails became sporadic
he wondered why

the rendezvous time was close
to meet springtime love
and it took him
enormous trouble to get there

she didn't show

9.
he sat
waited
had a decaf
alone
despair settling upon him
like an overgrown and heavy wintercloak

but the sweet footfall he wanted
did not approach

that's when he assumed some ...truth
she didn't love him
she couldn't
not after this stand-up

he didn't understand....

10.
she had really tried to tell him
but ran so ungently
out
of time....

he understood
but only
some weeks after that day....
when postman delivered
to his door:
algorithmic package

11.
now, in her inbox
lies a Mother Teresa quote
which remains eternally
suspended:

“Yesterday is gone.
Tomorrow has not yet come.
We have only today.
Let us begin.”

little counts now
so long
....

"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed."

we understand
we get it, ok!
