   The sky turns dark, Lightning crashes
See the anger in his eyes

    So beautiful she was a spirit of

Some say she’s a myth
But some believe in the Undine

A water Nymph able to become a human
If she fell in love with a human male

According to legend the male cheater
Is forced to consciously stop breathing
He is to end his own life because of his
Betrayal and his will of deceiving

I’m not gonna speculate on the myth
Though sailors swear of their reality

To Sway, be it legend or a fantasy

But if Ancient accounts are factual
Betraying such a creature isn’t so keen

Green Depression

   Just like with my Buckeyes, I’m an
Eagles fan and I wear my heart on my sleeve
Now here I am waking up to a blue Monday
In shock from a disaster I can’t believe

I know that I sound crazy sometimes
When I talk about conspiracy theory

And make them feel a little weary

But please understand that’s the passion

The State Farm connection I needed
For everyone to see,
It was played in the State Farm Stadium
And the spokesperson is the QB of KC

But I’m not really a crazy person
There’s no need to be afraid of me
The bottom line is an Eagles fumble gave
The Chiefs a TD and the Eagles had no D

So here I am on this Blue Monday
With no way to let out my aggression
And I can’t seem to fight my way out

A Ghost In Time

      It was a perfect end to a day
The night sky was well defined
There was magic in the air
All the planets were aligned

A young couple fell in love
To be together forever more
They walked barefoot beneath
The moon along the ocean’s shore

Unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be, tragedy
Re wrote what was written in the stars
She was taken away from him
Leaving him with permanent scars

She was a victim of collateral damage
Innocently being in the wrong space and time
When shots rang out in a gang drive by
In an act of a senseless crime

He’s an old man now and thoughts of her
Have disappeared into a fog of memories

Countless Times We’ve Met Along The Way

     There was a movie in the seventies
Its title was On A Clear Day
It starred Barbra Streisand and it
Was a musical and kinda like a play

It was about reincarnation and it
Was fascinating and I thought of Deja vu
Times where you think you’ve lived it
Before but you couldn’t, it’s brand new

But yet in the universe or even
Somewhere in our own galaxy
Could there be another you and I
Living out another life a destined odyssey

And could this be repeated over and over
Again and could our minds be connected
To the other versions of ourselves at different
Times and the information gets collected

I’d like to think that it’s possible
Somewhere in time and space
That we’ve been together
In some enchanted place

And it will come to be in our knowledge
On one glorious future day
When we come together yet again
The countless times we’ve met along the way

A Withering Rose 🥀

   Just a seed planted in the passion of love
A baby girl, a gift from above
But growing pains were like violent storms
Her self defense was prickly thorns

Though she was full of life
And had dreams of being a wife
Love would come and steal her heart
And love would leave and tear her apart

They told her that this was not her fate
And assured her true love might be late
And though her darkness was extreme
She never gave up on her dream

And then one day with a gentle kiss
She was starry eyed in total bliss
This felt so right, it couldn’t be wrong
Was this the music, a true love song

They were in love Bride and Groom
She was happy and in full bloom
But the song they would compose
Would leave her just A Withering Rose

Breaks My Heart

     You know my heart breaks
For the mentally afflicted
And when I see so many lives destroyed
When they are substance addicted

And my heart breaks
When it seems there’s no one to care
And when I see the handicapped
Confined to a chair

And my heart breaks
When I see the children cry
And when I try to comfort them
But I don’t have the answers why

You know my heart breaks
When I see that our leaders let us down
And when I see my beautiful world
With so much litter on the ground

When I see our veterans treated so poor
And when I wonder if humanity
Was even worth fighting for

When I see the homeless on the street
And when with War tell me who has won
The data will always be incomplete

When I see young love fall apart
And when I have the knowledge of it all

Vain

    She was stunningly beautiful
From head to toe, without a flaw
As if she was created with the universe
And her beauty was part of natural law

In her conscious she’s always worried
About looking her absolute best
Her hair and makeup and the clothes
She picked had to pass the mirror test

Her outer appearance meant everything
And slowly she became ugly on the inside
And those within her presence began
To wish they had a place they could hide

She became so obviously obsessed
And getting old sent her into a rage
She constantly was having plastic surgery
In countless attempts to hide her age

She died alone never did she comprehend
True beauty comes from within
Time will always take its toll on our outer
Appearance in a battle we can’t win

Life is so drastically short in time
And outer beauty will rarely remain
The moral being we should worry about our
Inner beauty and not be so vain

Ripple Effect

    With my words usually there’s
Little to nothing one needs to dissect
And never do I ever write words
Intended to harm or disrespect

Most generally I’m not focusing
On any particular type of subject
And never do I require from my
Readers their deepest intellect

There’s things we do, positive or negative
Like ripples on a pond, we must respect
Our ability to be kind is a serious thing
And it’s something that we can’t neglect

Each day as we just go through life
We can encounter things we don’t expect
Our tempers rise and disaster
Occurs and things can get wrecked

But if we pause and take a breath
All of the boxes can be checked
We can search our mind and heart
And we can find any type of defect

If we all infest in ourselves
And become our own personal project
We can be better humans when we’re
Always aware of our Ripple Effect

The Hummingbird & Butterfly

     Like a Hummingbird he was swift
He was smooth as he stole her heart
Like a Butterfly she was graceful
With her fluttering flight from the start

But the nectar made him high
It changed who he was inside
Slowly over time the love they
Had withered and died

She stayed by his side until she passed
Even with all the damage done
Shattered hearts love destroyed
See the path of the tears as they run

Some will still argue that love
Can be beautiful and full of magic
Even though the story is repeated
Over and over and it ends so tragic

I for one can testify on the behalf of love
With a hand on the Bible not to lie
Love can triumph and we can learn from
The story of The Hummingbird & Butterfly

Loved ones turning on each other
Because of Political divide
Father Son, Mother daughter, sister brother
Separating as they choose a side

Born to love, innocent child
Grow up to hate as an adult
The world is in chaos Neanderthal wild
Be aware of the blind assault

Heartless no remorse in killing
Get in line behind the Antrustion
So easily and so willing
Disaster comes with Internal Combustion

     In the middle of the the night
I’m in rem in the middle of a dream
Nothing is real but it’s what I feel
And oh how real it can seem

With my eyes closed, I take a journey
Into the unknown everything is a mystery
Even if I’ve been down the road before
And it’s just a part of my history

When the day is over and I come home
To my love and we embrace
It’s amazing to feel her love and my
Troubles she can easily erase

With my eyes closed we come lip
To lip and lock into a passionate kiss
It’s always like the first time
Like I’ve never felt anything like this

When I bow my head and I pray
I feel the love of God in my soul
The warmth overwhelmingly comforts
Me and I know he’s in control

With my eyes closed I see his kingdom
So beautiful and so bright
I feel so wonderful inside and
It feels like a big hug nice and tight

Everything  in life that we experience
With touch and smell or sight are real
But the best things in life with our eyes

    I can remember the days
When physically you were mine

When I was just your child in tears

Slaves To The Machines

  Don’t look now but Humans are
Already on the edge of  existence
We’re being replaced and there’s
Really no way for resistance

Self checkout is just the beginning
Drones are making delivery
Cars are driving themselves
Making me feel the shivery

Computers thinking for themselves
Giving humans directions
And we’re doing what we’re told
Despite the electronic defections

Close your eyes and see visions
Of A Terminator landscape
With only two choices of survival
Endless war or searching for escape

We’ve got new viruses truth or lie
Being forced to get the vaccines
And more and more each day we’re
Becoming Slaves To The Machines

    I’m lost in my thoughts and In the

Life always finds a way to knock me

I’m not a wise man by any means

Ask yourself if you feel dead inside
What will make you feel alive

Take a pause feel your heart
Know the joy and know the pain
Find your reason to live
Enjoy the Sun enjoy the rain

Don’t decide to find happiness
With artificial stimulation
Search yourself like a dead poet’s society
Find your own life’s translation

Your life was a gift so live and love
If darkness hits you with a deathblow
Roll with the punch and

     Well it happens all the time
And I’m sure it happens to all
And I’m not ashamed to admit
I cringe from what rises from the stall

Your day is going well but you
Must go inside to take a ****
Your a good person and really
No one deserves a torcher such as this

So please I have but one request
If you must go number two
In a public restroom, you know
It’s just the right thing to do

Remember the last time you walked
In and you thought something had died
And the smell was so overwhelming
That you broke down and cried

There’s nothing worse than walking in and
That smell hitting your nostrils in a rush
It’s really the least you can do is give
The person walking in a curtesy flush

Pond And Willow Tree

  I’ve traveled a bit and I’ve seen more
Than I thought I would ever see
I’m happy with my life and I don’t
Ponder my final destiny

I know there’s hearts that dream
And they never seem to be satisfied
Always wanting to explore the unknown
And seeking information that’s classified

But I have an old soul, front porch
And a lemonade or a sweet tea
Away from the city and the chaos
That’s the life for me

So if there’s ever a time that I disappear
If you hear that I’ve gone missing
And they’ve checked everywhere
Knowing I’m not with my baby kissing

You might want to search out in the country
And find I’ve trespassed a farmer’s property
You’ll have to look no further than
The Pond And Willow Tree

Two Faced People

   It’s funny really and sad too
It can sometimes break a heart
But I guess no matter what, life goes
On and we might as well make a new start

There’s those who show you to your
Face who they want you to see
But in reality they’re not that person
At all and they don’t know who to be

Fly by night people flip flopping
On their views and opinions
Using Excuses for not doing things but
Disregarding the excuse in certain conditions

It’s alright yea it’s okay
If they feel that it’s right
It’s alright yea it’s okay
If they can sleep at night

They can live their lives the way they choose
But I find it a shame to be so feeble
Personally I can’t stand them and I have
No time for Two Faced People
