Two Faced People

It’s funny really and sad too
It can sometimes break a heart
But I guess no matter what, life goes
On and we might as well make a new start

There’s those who show you to your
Face who they want you to see
But in reality they’re not that person
At all and they don’t know who to be

Fly by night people flip flopping
On their views and opinions
Using Excuses for not doing things but
Disregarding the excuse in certain conditions

It’s alright yea it’s okay
If they feel that it’s right
It’s alright yea it’s okay
If they can sleep at night

They can live their lives the way they choose
But I find it a shame to be so feeble
Personally I can’t stand them and I have
No time for Two Faced People

The Echoes Of O-H-I-O

The Lady and the Gentleman of
The house use to host parties here
People would come and watch Buckeye football and eat food and drink beer

The Buckeyes rarely lost a game and
The boys would have a great time
But times have changed and nothing
Has reason or rhyme

Now the gentleman of the house
Only comes down to reminisce
He’ll play his video games or watch his
DVD’S of Buckeye games or KISS

Sometimes he’ll watch a movie
And I’ll see the Lady as she passes through
She’ll give him a Kiss but she stays busy
With laundry and other things to do

I get lonely and I feel forgotten
And I’m not sure normal life will resume
I feel like there’s never going to be
Another party here in the Buckeye room

I wish things were as they were before
Those days were really something you know
But now I’m here all alone with nothing
But The Echoes Of O-H-I-O

World Outside

Once I was young and I lived
As a young man I was sent to Vietnam
I fought and I survived,
I remember family and friends

I remember days on the beach
Walking with my love in the Sun
Star filled skies and nights
I thought would never end

Family togetherness and Thanksgiving
And Christmas and feeling loved
But now everyone has their own lives
And here I am so Alienated

My love has long passed
And family is no longer visiting
My days and nights are spent alone
From the world I’m Isolated

I’m in a nursing home, it’s like a final
Waiting room for those who are
Just waiting to die
To become something petrified

Now I live in a room that’s very small
With strangers checking on me to see if
I’m still alive and there’s no friends or
Family and no world outside

Butterfly

Butterfly,butterfly
Flutter,flutter
This way and that
And on a flower land
Like a raindrop splat
Then fly away high away
high away high
With a quick swoop back
down as if to wave bye,bye
So effortlessly and light
Then flutter,flutter
Out of sight

Just One Twenty Four

   As we turned the corner
We could see the flashing lights
But there was more than normal
Usually a couple would suffice

It was just my little brother and I
And I could feel my stomach churn
This was just another day in the life
The way our world would turn

As we got closer the Police were backing
With Mom and their guns were drawn
The stove and refrigerator were thrown
Out on the back lawn

Mom rushed to hug us and we were put
In the back of a police car
They sped away with lights and sirens to
Grandma’s it wasn’t far

We were supposed to be safe there,
And as we were being taken away
We saw Dad on the front porch with a
Shotgun holding the Police at bay

Now at Grandma’s safe from harm
Just caddy corner from the Sugar Shack
A biker bar where there was a fight and
Police came, Bikers shot Police shot back

Bullets flying coming through the windows
Of Grandma’s apartment, we’re on the floor
We were crying and Grandma was praying
The bikers had ammo but the Police had more

The Sun went down and rose again
The world outside was very violent
Sirens were whaling and bullets flying
The night was never silent

I could tell you stories about getting beat up By Bullies and Gangs and so much more
They were also the world I survived
And the above was Just One Twenty Four

Deadly Is The KISS

She’s the human equivalent of the
Killer spider known as the black widow
And she’ll get under your skin
Like the penetrating chigoe

She spins her Webb and awaits her
Un expecting prey to fall into her lap
And she’ll quickly incircle as he slowly
Dies in the grasp of her death trap

In her world she is the dominant one
She will forever reign
Falling in love with her will bring
Even the strongest man a life of pain

I warn every man of the danger
Of love, it can tear your world apart
You might think you’re tough but
Yet fragile is the heart

Beware the pretty face and the fragrance
Of her perfume, though it’s hard to resist
Her stunning eyes and her smile are just
Her tricks, remember Deadly Is The KISS

Beware The Amanita

She was a dream, eyes of emerald green
Sitting beneath the Manzanita
Beautiful from head to toe
I think her name was Rosita

He was about to get lost in the forest of love
He caught her out of the corner of his eye
And if you could turn back the hands of
Time he would have passed her by

It was the ingredients for a perfect storm
See the lightning and hear the thunder
She inherited powers from the shadows
He was trapped in the spell he was under

Now he’ll never be able to escape
His new world where evil reigns
Her bite was of poison
And it’s running through his veins

Her perfume was like that of the
Sweet smell of Carnitas
And it warns if you walk in the forest
Of love, Beware the Amanita
