She Was My Heaven,I Was Her Hell

There was a time when I tasted love
For a moment, a life of bliss
My heart was beating madly
My lips felt a gentle kiss

My nose smelled her lovely scent
We held each other in a passionate embrace
I felt like the king of the world
And I was floating in outer space

But I’ve never been lucky in love
And soon I knew I’d face my fate
My darkness was too much for her
It was like she walked through hell’s gate

Everything started to come between us
Everything was a reason to fight
We were being swallowed by a black
Hole, it consumed all of our light

I was over powered by my demons
Into my soul is where they came to dwell
Though I loved her completely, in the end
She was my Heaven, I was her Hell

A Walk In The Rain

Last night I had a dream,
I was living in complete tranquility
When I opened my eyes,
I found myself in my own reality

A born sinner living on a planet named
Earth somewhere in the Milky Way Galaxy
Feeling like a rogue satellite
Lost in the outer limit of my apogee

Stepping outside to a day without Sun
The sky is different shades of grey
As I walk it begins to rain and
My thoughts just go astray

So I’m walking in the rain without focus
Wishing for a parting sky
As sadness overwhelms me
I have to fight back tears from my eyes

Lost in my emotions, God sends a warning
Touch of his love to help ease my pain
And I felt so good inside and I realized
That it’s good to take a walk in the rain

SOMETIMES

   Sometimes I see her shadow
And sometimes I see a Butterfly
Sometimes it makes me smile
And sometimes it makes me cry

Sometimes I cry out for her
And sometimes she lets me know she’s there
Sometimes I’m happy she’s in Heaven
And sometimes I scream it isn’t fair

Sometimes I just want to hold her
And sometimes my life I want to share
Sometimes everything is faded
And sometimes I smell her scent in the air

Sometimes it’s too dark to see
And sometimes I feel so lost
Sometimes I recall the memories
And sometimes the pain isn’t worth the cost

Sometimes it feels the rain is never ending
And sometimes I walk in the Sunshine
Sometimes all is well with my life
And sometimes, well there’s sometimes

Mr Make Believe

   Sometimes I can’t help myself
I just wanna be more than I am
Living this normal life can really be
A drag, like it’s one big scam

Sometimes I wish I was a rock star
With girls galore and money to burn
But I’m not gonna make a deal with the
Devil, that’s something I spurn

If I could be a super hero, how cool
Would it be, imagine the possibilities
But I’m thinking that might be too
Much for me, think of the responsibilities

Wouldn’t it be nice to find a Genie
In a bottle, granting me three wishes
Instantly I could have anything I desire
But that might be super suspicious

So if just for the day, like a magician
With a trick up my sleeve
I’ll just close my eyes and put
My Faith in Mr Make Believe

I Am

As a young man I asked the mirror
Who am I and the mirror replied
I am worthless yes worthless
Therefore worthless I am

As an adult I asked myself
Self who am I, a voice gave a reply
I am a sinner yes just a sinner
Therefore a sinner I am

To the voice I asked, who are you voice
And the voice quickly replied
He said I Am yes truly I Am
Therefore he is I Am

I said if I am worthless and I am a sinner
Then who am I and I Am replied
You are loved, he said I am loved
Therefore loved I Am

Midnight Rain

Her love is motherly, her daughter is grown
She knows she must release the rein
She’ll worry about her constantly
Thus begins the midnight rain

She’s ninety years old, her time has come
The tears falling no one wishes to contain
A loving family says goodbye
Thus begins the midnight rain

A young couple once in love
Separating hearts filled with pain
He was unfaithful with lust
Thus begins the midnight rain

She loves him completely
He’s an addict and he loves *******
An overdose takes his life
Thus begins the midnight rain

Promises of love were made in the dark
But like the Devil he was being feign
His deception hardened her heart
Thus begins the midnight rain

The abused child sits alone in his room
As thoughts of suicide enter his brain
He’ll never feel his father’s love
Thus begins the midnight rain

The world is filled with  Loneliness, hear
The whistle of the midnight train
For some their darkness never ends
Thus begins the midnight rain

Lucky ones survive the storm though
Tracks of tears stain their window pane
Everyone experiences the tears of darkness
Thus no one escapes the midnight rain

Eberwine

I was walking a path in the woods
When I came upon a peculiar pine
It had a warning of no trespassing
Order of the Kingdom of Eberwine

Nothing else looked out of place
And I became overwhelmed with curiosity
So much so that I couldn’t control
The persuasion of my impetuosity

So I entered through the gate without a
Fence across the boundary of Eberwine
And suddenly I was whisked through
A portal to another place and time

To a world within our world where everything
Is unimaginable but so very real
My heart was racing and I had much anxiety
Beyond what I ever thought I could feel

My eyes gazed upon a huge mountain
That no human could possibly climb
As I pause to take in the beauty before me
In a near distance I hear bells begin to chime

I realize now that I may never see home
Again and I may be stuck here in Eberwine
From the mountain a water fall cascades
Into a river as mighty as the European Rhein

I’m sure out of the corner of my eye
I saw a large creature of some kind
But I’m no longer sure of my reality
Eberwine may be playing tricks on my mind

As I’m walking I notice strange wildlife
With unfamiliar and familiar traits
Like horses but they have camel humps
And one seems trapped and in dire straits

As I was heading towards him to attempt
A rescue on my shoulder I felt a poke
Startled I turned around to find a four
Winged Owl and I stopped and he spoke

He said you don’t belong here and you’re
In great danger, didn’t you read the sign
Warning the other side of trespassing
By order of the Kingdom of Eberwine

I said yes but curiosity got the best of me
And there appears to be no danger here
He said that’s the problem nothing is what
It seems and you’ve yet to see what we fear

When night falls all the gentle beast
Become evil and are fixated on the ****
There’s nothing we can do to fight it
Though it’s the opposite of our will

Our days last five times that of yours
And our nights do too so beware
This is the first day but we must find where you entered, we must get you safely there

He added there’s also the creature of
The trees who is swift with his doom
But his weakness is that he loves eating
What we call the sleepy time shroom

Even though I feel compelled to venture
Further to unravel this mystery
I must leave this strange enchanted place
I know that I must cease my inquiry

The gentle beast all know I don’t belong
Here in their place and time
So I said my goodbyes and thanked the four winged Owl, and I’ll never forget Eberwine
