The Day The Fallen Angels Return

     The end of days is upon us but
It doesn’t mean time will stop tomorrow
But seeing the way people are behaving
Makes my heart fill with sorrow

Most of us will probably already be dead
On the day the air is filled with humans cry
And the Sun is no longer visible, obscured
By a dark devilish apocalyptic sky

As I observe the coming of the worlds fate
The nearer it gets there’s more rejection
His love is true and for all to receive
But no one seems to welcome his affection

If in your heart you just wish to deny
It’s okay you have that right
If you’re reading this now you’ll most
Likely also be gone before this night

You’ll already know where you’ll be
Spending eternity or nothing at all
Because some don’t believe in God
Or the Devil but I wouldn’t make that call

I pray that all whom are still alive that
Final day will have no cause for concern
Having given their hearts to Jesus
Before the day the fallen Angels return

Twas the night before Christmas

‘Twas the night before Christmas
And KISS is rocking my house
Not a creature can be seen
Not even a mouse

The neighbors are all checking
To see what the heck is a matter
For none of them,not one
Has ever heard such a clatter

When they looked in my window
They saw me rocking around my tree
A nightmarish sight I am sure
They wish they didn’t see

My windows were shattered and I was
Screaming on Peter,Ace,Paul and Gene
And turning the volume up louder when
The Police arrived on the scene

They said man it is Christmas Eve
It’s obvious to us you are a black sheep
Why do you feel the need to rock when
Your neighbors are trying to sleep

I told the officers that it was in my DNA
I was born to rock & roll
I have always been on Santa’s naughty list
And have always received bags of coal

They turned my music off and took my
KISS CD’S and gave them to a trooper
I waited until they all drove out of sight
And I began to listen to my Alice Cooper

Age

       From the minute we are born,
We begin the process of dying
We must crawl before we can walk
But nothing stops us from trying

As we become teenagers with all
Of our hormones raging
The furthest thing from our mind
Is the simple fact of our aging

At some point in our lives we get
To a point that we think we’re getting old
But mindset and attitude can affect your
Direction in your way in life sevenfold

If you think old you’ll be old and if you think
Young you’ll be young, it’s a state of mind
For I say age is just a number so live life
The way you wish to be defined

Act your age, oh no not me
I’ll never give up in the fight
Until the day I die I’ll live like KISS
And Rock & Roll all nite

Like a train at bullet speed
Running on the narrow gauge
I myself may be standing on the
Edge of sixty but I refuse to age

Before It’s Too Late

       When I look around me I see
As the world keeps spinning around
We have failed our future
Our world is crashing down

We see wrong in everything
Even if what we see is right
If the Sun is high in the mid day sky
Someone would swear that it’s night

And if you tried pointing out the obvious
They would be offended by your view
There’s no in between in this reality
We must find a way to breakthrough

Because it’s like we’re walking through
A minefield carrying a heavy load
Just one false move and everything
Will just simply explode

There’s got to be a common ground
What’s the reason for all this hate
Can we begin a new narrative
And turn it around before it’s too late

Dusk Before The Dark

    In a dream last night I saw you
It was just before you said goodbye
The vision was clear and I could see
The tear in your eye

It’s been the same dream now
For seven nights in a row
And I wish now that I knew all
The things I didn’t know

Like how to be a lover but more
Important,how to be a friend
In the darkness I scream out your name
But it’s just a whisper in the wind

You’ll never know my regret or how
Deep I feel the cut from my mistake
And now until the end of time
You’ll be the memory I’ll never shake

If I could turn back the hands of time
Would I know what to change
My mind is so confused it’s
In a state of derange

I don’t want the night to fall and
In the distance I hear the song of a lark
I can’t stop the inevitable and I begin to
Cry here in the dusk before the dark

Silent Night

    In the darkness, alone I sit
With just the flicker of one candle lit
As random thoughts flow, through my mind
Let my words be thoughts refined

No matter your troubled heart
Don’t let your life fall apart
Settle yourself deep therein
Find your strength and peace within

Take yourself to a secluded nook
Close your eyes,visualize a peaceful brook
For yourself take some time
In the night find beauty sublime

When your world has gone awry
And your sorrow escapes in tears you cry
Let Jesus be that flicker of one candle lit
Open thy heart and eyes, and focus on it

You will feel his holiness
His warm embrace and gentle kiss
And take that heart felt flight
And you’ll know the joy of a silent night

Why

     When I was younger,
I just wanted to die
There were times I didn’t want to get
Out of bed, I still did but I don’t know why

There were so many times that I
Would just lay there and cry
Through my darkness, I couldn’t see
And I was constantly asking why

She was broken and she
Was barely getting by
Her past was nearly just as bad
And she couldn’t understand why

We both had bad father’s
And her Ex was a bad guy
Neither one of us ever felt really loved
What was the reason why

We both survived somehow
Though we really didn’t try
There just had to be a reason
But we didn’t know why

Then one day by chance or was it
We happened to pass each other by
But we missed our chance at the time
And we’ll never know why

And as I look back on it now
My memories around my head they fly
My thoughts drifting in the wind
I realize nothing is by chance, ask me why

When we finally met face to face
We couldn’t fight it, so it was best to comply
The feeling was overwhelming
We couldn’t explain why

Some things are meant to be
Just like in physics certain laws apply
God and his band of Angels
Are the answer and the reason why
