Permanent Hurt

  When you find a love
How will you know it's real
If you're diving in head
First with so much zeal

You gotta take it slow,so
You don't land in the dirt
Your heart can't take that
Kind of a permanent hurt

Don't get caught in the
Trap that you set
Don't put your money down
On that sure bet

If you feel yourself falling
It's time for a red alert
Your heart can't take that
Kind of a permanent hurt

You spend your time working
On your sophisticated flirt
You got your high heels on
And your slit skirt

Your makeup is perfect and
You’re wearing that KISS T-Shirt
Your heart can’t take that
Kind of a permanent hurt

You need to protect yourself from yourself
You play with fire and you’ll get burned
You must remember your fragile heart
And all the lessons you’ve learned

The red lights are flashing
You need a quick divert
You’re just setting yourself up
For another permanent hurt

Edge Of Twenty One

Standing on the edge of sixty
Looking at life still ahead of me
Looking back at what I left behind
Is almost impossible to see

Oh the stories I could tell
About so many crazy, crazy nights
But if I did, they’d probably arrest me
And throw away the key and my rights

Still cannot explain the morning I woke
Up from sleeping in the women’s room
To the sound of some girls screaming
Thought I was dead and sealed my tomb

One of those wild nights still in a haze
Escaping from the grips of the beast
My life hanging in the balance
Between living and being deceased

I don’t know how I ever survived
And those days are long, long gone
Sometimes though I still think about
Standing on the edge of twenty one

Nature’s Song

The wind whispers through the trees
Hear the ripple of the water as it flows
The bees are buzzing as they gather
Pollen and get some on their nose

Hear the dog bark in the meadow, chasing
Butterflies as they spread their wings
And outside of my window hear the
The morning song that the Robin sings

The sounds of nature are everywhere
Take the time to listen, don’t let them slip by
Pause yourself for a moment to smell
The rose and hear the baby cry

The Woodpecker pecking, the Owl hoots
And the Wolves howl
I’ve come to a sense of belonging
Even as the cats begin to scowl

It’s a continuous beautiful orchestra
And you can’t ever be wrong
If you just let yourself get lost
Into the vastness of nature’s song

I just started my book, please pray for me
As I reflect back on my hell and tell my triumph with the help of Jesus and to tell about where I am today, being blessed.
I will attempt to tell my story through short stories and my poetry. I will include most of the poetry that I have shared with all of you here at Hello Poetry.
I don’t know how long this part of my journey will take but my book title is
(Heart Felt Flight) I have just started and I am pausing to share this with you.
God Bless you all!!!

Where Is God

   My heart seeps
My Soul weeps
Everywhere evil creeps
Where is God?

Know, no life isn’t fair
Know, no one seems to care
Yes evil fills the air
Where is God?

I ask when I hear of evil strains
I ask when I see evil in someone’s veins
It seems that evil reigns
Where is God?

Seek and you shall find
Open your eyes for they’re blind
There’s still humans very kind
Hello poetry this is where is God

For Just One Rose

I live my life as to ways taught
Only as the golden rule
But alone I am and I wonder
If I am but just a fool

I have given my love
For it be thrown in a fire to burn
A thousand of lessons
You’d think I would learn

Yet I know deep inside
There is someone for everyone
So I searched and I prayed to find
My love for life before my life be gone

Now I have found her
Yet I feel myself begin to hesitate
My heart is stopping me
As I question my fate

But in my eyes she is beautiful
I dare to offer my heart, for her to take
If she were to dismiss it
So fragile it would surly break

So in the misty morning,as the sweet
Smell of the dew tickles my nose
I risk the pain of thorns
For just one rose
