Beautiful young boy with a heart of gold,
Corrupt my heart with your ugly soul,
All good intentions rotting you whole,
Crying wolf to walls of stone,
Pack your bags and hope to live ,
Pills stain your strawberry lips .

Beautiful young girl with an innocent face ,
Date all the boys and hope they wont break,
All good intentions rotting you whole ,
Praying for guidance yet corrupting your soul ,
Addiction at night and purity by day ,
No one knows the true mask you display .

Paper Cups
Chiriqué Mar 2021
Paper thin her skin
Marked with the red of regret
Stained in its place so she'll never forget ,
If not from hands than from words .
For all she knows is exposing her hurt ,
To those who believe not in words .
For when no leaves her mouth
And his face turns to irritation.
The reality of the situation
Brings her back to life and her skin ignites
Remembering it's fight
Then no turns to yes
As she slowly undresses
Exposing her messes
Hoping he'd stay
Even after she put her hurt on display
But they never do
For when morning comes and all is done
The coffee brews for no one
And when the birds come to chirp
The noise drowns out her calls of disgust
The only hope leaving her gut
For in the end its plain to see broken girls are never invited for afternoon tea

Monster within
Chiriqué Jan 2020
Darkness take away my light
Burn out the candle
I wont put up a fight
Rip away my flesh
And reveal to me my true form
The monster inside me grows too warm

Darkness inside me
Take away my breath
Make me choke on the words I haven't said
As I cut away on paper skin
Write my life story with pretty ink

Darkness that consumes me
Protect me from the light
It burns my skin and colors me bright
But all is fine when it goes away
And I begin to remember the light never stays

Mummy's Boy
Chiriqué Jan 2020
Little boy
You are meant to be a man .
Your future decided the first time you held his hand .
Finish school ,
Work really hard ,
Provide for a family ,
Never let them starve .

But little boy, you hold a secret
The man you are to be she knows can not be ,
For In your eyes lays the pain
She sees you hesitate when he calls your name
She kept your secret and paid your price
Blue and black the punishment she sacrificed

Little boy, dont you see
Dressing in mummy's shoes is who you are meant to be
But when Daddy says no
And Mommy screams sorry
The reality of sacrifice hits your body
And on the floor you lay to sleep
Closing your eyes to the rhyme of a beat
Knowing in your heart as you pull away
Mummy will join you and forever stay .

Comfort in the End
Chiriqué Jan 2020
Death by my comfort and I will believe,
The peace you bring me I beg to never leave,
The pillow no mercy as it refuses to catch my dreams ,
My mind wide awake as my heart begs for release ,
Oh, death by my comfort and I will believe ,
The peace at a price ,one love and one life ,
Oh, mother forgive me for death by my comfort .
Your worst nightmare becomes a reality
As I take my last slumber.
