AN UNPOLISHED STONE

We are mortals absolutely ordinary, perhaps uncut diamonds, like an ordinary unpolished stone;

But try our best we must, as much as we can, in the given circumstances; remembering we are never alone;

Ahura sends us an angel, a guide, a friend time to time; but perhaps in a way sublime

However endeavour we must to our ego shed and listen to that lil voice; which is free, it doesn't cost a single dime.

Cultivate this if we, all fine, soon will be; for Know we all, Ahura has the power n many a wonderful way !

Almost everyone in and around us, is busy, there is always an acute shortage of time;

But if at all, we really for someone care, then do give them some of your precious time.

We speak so much, but very little do, to actually do something, we have to create this time.

A little less time on the mobile and computer can perhaps help us to smuggle that time.

Children are our future, they are our tomorrow, pleeeease give them your attention and time.

What we are today is because of our elders, our parents, then for them, why can't we spend time???

મુરખ માનવીઓ, સ્વાર્થી માનવીઓ  કરી રહ્યા છે આં ધરાનું સત્યાનાશ

એમના તરફથી ફરજની, માલિક મારા, મે તો છોડી દીધી છે બધીજ આશ

ઝાડો રોપવાને બદલે, વાવવાને બદલે કાપી નાખી, કરે છે આં  મુરખ ઓ, આં  ધરાનું સત્યાનાશ

"એક કાપે તો દસ વાવજે", એવું કહેવાય છે, પણઆં માનવ તો કાપતો રહે છે, બની બેફામ

કાશ એ સમજી શકતો હતે એનાં દુષ્કૃત્યો નો, આં ખતરનાક કૃત્યોનો અંજામ

આવતી પેઢીને પ્રાણવાયુના પડશે સાંસા, જેમ કોવિડમાં પડ્યાં હતા હર શેરી માં, ગામે ગામ

વિચારો કૃપયા કરી, માઈલો લાંબી છે આપણી સડકો અને રેલવેની પટરિયો; વાવી શકાય છે ત્યાં ઝાડ

આપણા ખેતરો આજુ બાજુમાંબિ વાવી શકાય અનેક જાતિ પ્રજાતિના ઝાડ; વપરાય થોડોક પહાડ (બિ)

પવનમાં લહેરાતાં, લીલાં છમ ઝાડો, ફળ ફુલ આપશે એનાં માલિકને, એમના કુટુંબને, બની હર
ખેતરની વાડ.

જાગ માનવ, તારાં માટે નહીં, તો તારાં પ્યારા બલુડાઓ માટે તો જાગ; છોડી દે, થોડોક તો સ્વાર્થ

ચાલો આપણે બિ થોડી ભલાઇ કરી લઈએ, ભલે આપણે નથી કોઈક પરમ ભક્ત, કોઇ કૃષ્ણ ના પાર્થ;

પણ આપણે આપણાં વહાલાંઓ માટે કરવાનું છે આં અગત્યનું કૃત્ય, નથી આં કોઇ પરમાર્થ.

सदा याद रहे, इन पदार्थों के सेवन से, कभी भी नहीं भरेगा तेरा प्यासा जी;

સૌ કોઇ, ઊગતા સૂર્યના દર્શન કરી, સુર્ય નમસ્કાર કરી, એણે  લાગે છે પગે;

જોયા છે કદી તમે લોકો ને બિચારા ઢળતા સૂરજ ને, લાગતાં પગે?

માનવ જીવન માં,  પણ આં જ પરંપરા, આં જ રીત ચાલતી આવી છે

સફળતા જ માનવી ને વાહલી છે; ઘણો ભાગ, સમય જ સફળતા ની ચાવી છે

ઢળતાં સુરજ ની જેમ, ઢળતી ઉંમરે કોઇ કરતું નથી તમારી ભાવનાઓ નો આદર

માટે તમે પગ પણ એટલાજ પસારજો, જેટલી લાંબી હોય તમારી ચાદર.

પાછલા જીવન માં, સગાં સંબંધી ઓછાં હશે, આં જ છે જીવન સંધ્યા, આં જ છે, હકીકત સાચી

તૈયારી કરવી જોઈએ, પણ આસાન નથી આં કામ; સામનો કરવા જોઈએ હિંમત સાચી

આવીયા બોખા, અને જવાના પણ બોખા, કદાચ બત્રીસી તુટીભાંગી સાથે હશે, આં છે જીવન ચક્ર;

માઁ-બાપ ઉપાડી ફરતાં, હાથ ઝાલી ચલાવતાં, હવે દીકરો-વહુ , દીકરી- જમાઈ પકડી ચલાવશે, આં છે જીવન ચક્ર

મળ-મૂત્ર પર એક જન્મજાત શિશુ ને અને બુઝરોગ ને ક્યાં કંટ્રોલ હોય છે, આખરે તો, આં જ છે જીવન ચક્ર

જેમ પેદા થઈએ છીએ, તેમ જવા પહેલા, બુઢાપામાં ફરી એક વાર, બધું પરિવર્તન થવાનું છે, આં જ છે જીવન ચક્ર.

(After seeing malpractices in medicine, sitting at a multi clinic, I am writing this, with a plea to all the medical practitioners, to please introspect)

Sold my soul I have to the Satan, once I had, a huge entrance amount given, to a doctor become

Now, for treatment, all the rich, the gullible, those frightened hypochondriacs, I warmly welcome.

For rich I have to become, after recovering my expenses huge, to cover up what I spent; that enormous sum !

With wrong, fancy or even frightful diagnosis, I frighten patients; and unnecessarily even operate upon some.

With my malpractices,  Satan very helpful n cooperative is, n encourages me, to richer by the day become.

Alas, a dedicated professional, one who should be respected next to God, how very commercial has now become !

By misleading the ill n those in dire need of a cure; from a God loving n serving the ill n poor people, I have today, a devil become.

Dear God, will You please forgive me, if I change to a good, kind doctor n a human being become?

An attorney at law, honest, with plenty of self- respect, today was born.

Tried he to assure all his countrymen would get cothes, water n corn.

But his main aim was to drive away the Brits n to Mother India, a free status adorn

Picked he, "Satya-Ahimsa" to achieve it; but she was often ripped off n torn;

In spite of the many difficulties, Gandhiji got her Independence; that he had, for Her sworn

His three piece suit he gave up; thereafter only a dhoti he had worn.

Thanks to the sacrifices of many many "senanis", on  15th Aug we saw, an independent morn.

Like all living beings, (just like flowers),we too shall someday wither away

As buds, on our stems we bloom carefreely; happily on the stem, we sway

As youth us envelopes, colourful n perfumed become we, but that too is not, for many a day

Inside n outside, on the fringes, let's some bawals, Bamboos, drumsticks, tamarinds, mangoes plant

Help us in our endeavour can, from the colony, some grandparents, parents, or some uncle and aunt.

Sure I am, if willingly participate many, "Amertat Ameshaspenta", bless us n our wish will certainly grant.

If a tycoon famous,  Batliwala (J. Jeejeebhoy) by  name, could do this, let's also beautiful "baatlees" some collect.

For this purpose most required and useful; to go around, a team or two we need to quickly elect ;

Then, decorate n beautify the "baatlees"; after you, their colours, shapes n sizes select.

Worry not, if you don't have space sufficient, to plants grow

On your balcony you can, mint, ginger n lemon grass easily grow

In a corner, in some middle sized pots, these, you can easily sow

Believe me, fantastic will be the taste, of that cuppa tea with those plants you grow.

Freshen you up it will, enliven your heart and body it will, after this cuppa tea, you won't feel low.
