" I hear with growing frequency from other female friends — particularly those on dating apps — that they, just like Amber, are considering “swapping sides”.

The complaints all seem to echo the same grievance — and if I may sexually stereotype for a moment — that men are notoriously inconsistent and unreliable.

They display a reluctance to engage in honesty and have an inclination towards the ­modern phenomenon of “ghosting”.

They appear to have an inability to express themselves.

They tend to treat women as increasingly dispensable and have become masters of what can only really be termed “emotional constipation”.

They can be fickle, those lads, that’s for sure.

After more than a year of putting myself out there on dating apps, that is certainly my own, personal experience, too.

These do appear to be male traits.

And it’s for this reason I hear time and time again that women are contemplating changing what they are “looking for” on the apps.

Women are clearly feeling exasperated."

We live with ghosts
and wake them to perform

the letdowns in low downs craving distractions with slants

No worthy or good comes from insignificants on the grinds
lacking wit or grace they faff and prattle as modern peasants
their job is hate and in searing jealousy they dribble unrefined
the pitiful community of lesser beings in malice conversance:

To many herds borne
corralled in deceptive cages
breed to fellow the herd
devoid of distinction
all in comprehensive similarity
to similarly comprehend
and boo and wail in unison

A GOAT is not for the herd
bred to know what to fear
is fear itself in all guises
rather than embrace fear
and booing and wailing in herds
only brave and optimal in the
numbing constraints of numbers

We do not find our strength

under all the cheaply discarded
skirts in the brothels nearest the docks
