The pier & the poet, they're here and you know it, you can't get the ringing to fade away, my past is dwindling, & my rain is just starting, black string litters the floor, I don't want to sit here anymore, my life is ripping in my hands, my blue nightmare is just showing, & drowning is in mind, & I'm afraid my voice isn't good enough, & my hands will shake, my brain will stop, & my eyes will break, I walk this line, I've walked everyday, I start to wonder, what if I stray? I wonder what if I turn? What if I stop? Where will they go? Where has everyone gone? Do I bleed? The lines on my teeth match the ones decorated on me, I'm sorry, what have I done? Where have I gone? Where did it go? I'm bleeding, & I decided I won't stay here, because I'm becoming, the poet & the pier.
