When you are old,
Alone and a widow,
Not to forget your foe,
Your joints and bones,
Little things count,
To big difficulties it amounts.
My man used to do the lot,
Never about them I had to worry about,
My toilet seat is broken,
The cracks that are open,
I have put masking tape on them,
But, when I seat my **** hurts some.
The hardware shop needs a sample,
The plumber does not have time ample,
For minor jobs,
Same problems with changing the lock or the bulbs,
A minor tap leak,
I try my best if I can,
Little things count,
To place an order for take away,
All they say,
Not worth the delivery,
So I order more,
And save some for rainy days,
Little things count.
Last month the bathroom ceiling
began to leak,
I called the landlord every day for a week,
Every time he gave fake promises,
So I took the bull by the horn,
Sat outside his door and cried all morn.
All the neighbours gathered and ashamed, he sent someone to repair,
Little things count,
Sometimes tears too count.
Little things repair leak crack
