Madam Corona has people caged
From the young to the aged,
They stay at home tottering about,
Only few come out,
The frontline  workers,
Volunteers and shoppers.
Corona Aunty makes them wear masks,
If they do not, she takes them to tasks,
She enters their bodies through eyes ,nose and ears,
People become sick, poor dears,
Many with other illnesses die,
Others survive.
It's fun strolling on the empty streets,
With some policemen on their beat.

Now, a tiny virus has caused havoc in your lives,
Caged you to your homes,
So my nature can breathe,
You come to me, pleading with Me to help you out.
I heard the bells in the church toll,
Heard bells in the temples ring,
Heard the loud Azaans in the mosque,
I am tired listening to your whinings,
So I put lockdown in all places.
I am there for you all forgiving,
Guiding you,
But you have to Wake Up and Change Your Ways.

Silence everywhere,
Rain cries in pain as it hits the hard surface,
No human buffer to fall on.

A boy named Jamal was coming to see my cousin Yasmin and ask for her hand in marriage,
My cousin was already in love with someone else,
But, she could not refuse her father.
So on the day Jamal came Yasmin was all dressed and ready,
She happily served tea,
Yasmin then invited Jamal out for a walk,
On the way out she wore her flip flops,
As she walked the flip flops gave out a noise like a ****,
Disgusted Jamal cut the walk and left abruptly.

The world still debates how I came,
But I  came with a mission,
WHO declared me as pandemic,
Cause I spread like fire across the globe.
Infecting and sometimes killing those that crossed my path.
There is no vaccine for me as yet,
So I am safe to do my work.
I came to revive humanity,
Look at all the unsung heroes,
Leaving their families and dear ones,
To save lives.
I came to cleanse the earth,
The only way was to make them stay at home,
To reduce carbon pollution.
I separated them from other people,
To listen deeply,
To pray more,
To think other ways and for others.
I stopped mass gatherings,
Closed cinemas, pubs and restaurants,
So they could spend time together as family,
To read more,play games, exercise, and cook,
And gradually to heal.
I have come and I will stay,
Until you learn to change your way of life.
