I took care of my stomach,
For happiness comes when it is full,
Then it is all poetry and songs in your mind.
Not my teeth,
They did not die,
I killed them.
I took care of my tongue,
It's taste in mouth and heart,
Especially the sweet taste.
They said it was my sweet tooth to blame,
Not one, but several of them.
My Poor teeth,
I never saw the perils beneath,
I forgot to floss,
Or brush my teeth after every meal,
A visit to the dentist went unheeded,
Tooth decay; cavities came like parking tickets,
Suddenly, out of nowhere.
I was not true to my teeth,
Now, they are false to me.
