I woke up in the morning,
I was chirpy and happy,
My family  was happy,
The doctor came for his monthly visit,
A nut hard to crack.
He checked me,
Everthing was normal,
He was not happy,
So he took my temperature
It read 45°C,
He got excited,
I knew so there is something wrong with you,
You have a high temperature,
But doctor I said,
He didn't listen and called an ambulance,
And shuttled me to his hospital,
My protests went to deaf ears,
I had series of check ups
He came again in the afternoon after lunch,
He took my temperature,
It was 50°C
He wanted to admit me to ICU,
I put my foot down,
In a stern voice I told him to listen to me,
The first time you took my temperature,
I just had a cup of very hot tea,
The second time you took my temperature,
I just had piping hot soup,
There is nothing wrong with me.
