My daughter's friend in masjid,
She greeted me ,
I asked her how she was,
And about her cute daughter,
She was triste for not visiting me,
And promised to do so.
Actually I don't blame her or her good intentions,
I blame time,
It flies on autopilot
Flick of a finger morning becomes night,
Monday zooms to Friday,
And presto!
It's  the end of the month,
It seems just the other day was the beginning of 2025,
And it's already middle of the year.

An apple a day,
Keeps the doctor away.
A dose of music a day,
Heals me
Clears my head,
Lifts my spirit,
Rejuvenates my soul,
My karaoke time in the shower
With soap in my eyes and sound of running water,
My notes don't  matter.

My grandson will be eighteen this July,
He shares a birthday with Mr.Nelson Mandela on the 18th,
He asked me,"Dadi(granny) what is the difference between you and me
My Love, you are the sunrise,
You have to shine  brightly a long  way,
Giving your best to life,
Whilst I am the sunset
Retired,
Both beautiful and unique  in our own ways.

Proposes,
He says, "I want your hand in marriage".
That hand is to help him run his house,
To cook for him,
To do his laundry,
To wash the dishes,
To run his errands,
And to take care of his children,
Smug and happy,
Knowing he will come home,
Sit in front of the T.V
Waiting for the call to dinner,
And if she is in a good mood,
A hot cup of tea with snacks can be a bonus.

Avoid them,
Some are like ads,
Skip them
Some are sugar-coated,
Too much sugar is not good,
Some are savoury snacks,
Enjoy them

Is a great mother,
With more wisdom,
She sacrifices with acts of forgiveness,
Love,
And tolerance,
She is all hugs and smiles,
And we say,"Good old soul".
