He hurt my heart,
My thoughts are still with him,
Though he came back and apologised,
My heart is stubborn as a mule,
Refuses to learn to love him again,
Even refuses to to anything with him.
For once I listened to my heart rather than my thoughts,
And cut all ties with him.

When parents come to visit you,
Be loving and caring,
And grandchildren don't be glued to your mobiles.
Be a companion and not a superior,
Make time for them from your busy life,
Sit with them
Talk to them,
You will find leaning into love.
Let their eyes sparkle and lips curve into smiles,
Not shed tears in their pillows,
Only if I had not come.
Remember they have given you so much,
Their love time and care,
Made possible the life you enjoy,
In return they want to spend some time with you and their grandchildren.
Value them now ,
Not when you see their empty chair.
And a little misunderstanding,
I cut ties with my parents.
They were my roots,
Without them I have lost my existence and even myself.

We had black tea,
Because we could not afford milk,
We could only have one meal a day,
The rice, chapattis, curry and pickles all mixed together so it would be enough for seven mouths.
Now, I see people  have black or green tea and one healthy meal,
Either they are on diet or to maintain health.

Mother-in-law,
Is the one who has no expectations,
From her daughter-in-law.
You always made sure to make your son happy,
Now you just be grateful she makes him happy.

Children were only to be seen and not heard,
Now, parents are to be seen and not heard.
Dad, mum my friends are coming over,
Don't embrass me infront of them.

For the married,
No mobiles, laptops or tablets in the bedroom,
Only bonding and romance.
