Winding down, getting ready for fun
Another day at work, almost done

Off soon for a vacation
A short visit to our second favourite nation
First stop Marseille
This is our first stay
Weve been told, a train ride to the top
Views of the Port, your breath will stop

Then further South, we will go
To a familiar place that works itself into your soul
Ramatuelle, St Tropez
One of our most favourite places to stay

From across the bay the Orange Dome is clear, signalling you are near
Luxury yachts in the bay, moored for a week or maybe just the day

The sun beats down on the water, which is glistening
St Tropez has a special sound, if your listening
It's a crazy sound of Mopeds and Smart cars, Moko Jeeps, ambulance noises, people playing on the beach
The noise is not deafening but is truly unique.

During our stay we will relax and unwind, good food, good wine, good sand, good sea
Just unwinding in the sun, me and my loved one
Good friends inviting us into their home, it simply is the best
I can't wait to get there and to truly rest
Not long now, mini road trip starts tomorrow, first stop Twickenham for the Rugby Finals and then a hop over on the Channel tunnel, night stop in Valence Sunday evening , Marseille for two nights and st tropez for 4 nights staying with friends who live there, cant wait over the years it has become home from home

Lifes tough, not all of us  know it
Some choose to fake it and not to show it.

Life throws many obstacles your way.
How you deal with them has a lot to say.

Some people bury their feelings deep.
To theirsleves they like to keep.
It hurts too much to talk about.
Their private people, not ones to shout.
This way is hurtful to yourself, parcelling up your feelings to put on a shelf.
Deal with them at a later date, "not now honey it's far too late".

Others wear their feelings on their sleeves.
Their feelings always on display.
They feel the hurt so deep this way.
Open to hurt by those you love and trust.
As they see in your eyes where your loyalty lies.
Unable to keep it to yourself, your feelings lie unwrapped upon the shelf.

Others like to scream and shout.
Throw their feelings all about.
Never wondering should they stop, freely telling anyone who will listen.
Their dreams and wishes laid out, on the shelf open and glistened.

So many challenges, sent our way, tests of our strengths, each test a different severity and length.
Some tests last a lifetime, others go as quickly as they come.
Each test designed to highlight, detect, strengthen a weakness or two.

You can accept these challenges, see the test through.
Learn from the results and maybe come out a better version of you.

Or you can run from them, never knowing the you that would show, never knowing how far you could go, what person you could be.

Everyone's different no two the same, no right or wrong way to be.
Someone needs to guard and protect you, if not you then let it be me.

Two lanes traffic, moving oh so slow
Close to home now, not much further to go

Sun still shining bright
Casting it's warmth and beautiful light

Springsteen playing on the radio, boom, boom, boom, boom
Matey in the next lane, wanting extra room

Sun still shining bright
Casting it's warmth and beautiful light

All around the sky is a beautiful bright blue with occasional wisps of pale white
It lifts your heart and mind, makes everything feel right

Sun still shining bright
Casting it's warmth and beautiful light

As I drive, in the distance as far as I can see
Is the beautiful hue of glorious verdant green trees

Sun still shining bright
Casting it's warmth and beautiful light

Dip down the hill to the bridge that crosses the canal
Nearly home now, the rest of the journey is a bit more banal

Sun still shining bright
Casting it's warmth and beautiful light

Home now, walk in the door
Hubby hands a glass of wine
Sat in the garden, relaxing, recline
Who could ask for anything more

Sun still shining bright
Casting it's warmth and beautiful light

7pm and the Sun has finally gone for another day
Let's hope tomorrow it can come back out to play
This was last nights drive home, tonight, greyer and colder, got to live nature :)
Bamboo groves sing the symphony of winds
in their crackling I hear my heart
on the red lone summer road.

The village woman passes with her cow
she has no time for poetry
yet her radiance fills me to beg life
more..

O Death be a while away
I've taken root on this land.
On the village road, May 11 2018 2 pm

The residue of her desire was obvious to see
Her eyes glazed with adoration and lust
His eyes were dark and full of mistrust
She had loved and burned
Her love for him was not returned
Her desire will be pushed away, saved again for another day
Saved deep down where the residues of her other emotions can be found
