Humans
Blinded in darkness
Ever-seeking
Up
Toward the light
The light of awareness
Understanding causes, effects
A conscious evolution of our species
Is in effect

We're each a piece
Of this universal puzzle
Trusting our intuition
Guided by the heart
We find peace
Knowing we're never apart

Always within
Never without
Love
Love is all we need
Love lifts us up on highest wings
Spread those wings
Fly nigh
Toward the highest state of mind
In her bed.
Our Bed.
Alone.
A Land between.
A surreal junction of thoughts.

Every time I cook, I make too much smoke.
It gets in my eyes.
I think there is deeper meaning there...

...alas.

Cassie
i like you a lot
like maybe more than mary jane..
and she's my main
***** because when I'm with her
I can't remember the definition of the word ******
but I'm nervous for this fervor you stir in me
when i laugh with you i don't need ****
and that's crazy coming from
miss wake and bake
lunch break light up
dinner doobie
and don't forget the late night blunt ride
but you make me feel so high
my cheeks hurt and my stomach bursts
with butterflies sometimes i forget to eat
because I'm too busy staring into your baby blue eyes
my heart dances in my chest even worse than when i have anxiety
but it's different
i gave you my heart on a silver platter
but pulled it away the second i had a hint you may not deserve it
and that made both of us feel worse than
when your **** shattered
wish we still talked and i handled things differently. oh well.

the water has been calm for months,
not a wake has wandered from within this body
and still
something is amiss
i miss
you.

and not in some deeply important
or wildly romantic reminiscence
but in a way that makes my throat dry,
my hands hurt,
my eyes water.

it is not that we are cold,
but there is an absence of heat
and by that i mean passion
time is passing
and the water is rising
so why was it surprising
to see the tide?

John Keats
Bright star, would I were steadfast as thou art—
Not in lone splendour hung aloft the night
And watching, with eternal lids apart,
    Like nature's patient, sleepless Eremite,
The moving waters at their priestlike task
Of pure ablution round earth's human shores,
Or gazing on the new soft-fallen mask
Of snow upon the mountains and the moors—
No—yet still steadfast, still unchangeable,
Pillow'd upon my fair love's ripening breast,
To feel for ever its soft fall and swell,
Awake for ever in a sweet unrest,
Still, still to hear her tender-taken breath,
And so live ever—or else swoon to death.
