Maya Angelou
A free bird leaps on the back
Of the wind and floats downstream
Till the current ends and dips his wing
In the orange suns rays
And dares to claim the sky.

But a BIRD that stalks down his narrow cage
Can seldom see through his bars of rage
His wings are clipped and his feet are tied
So he opens his throat to sing.

The caged bird sings with a fearful trill
Of things unknown but longed for still
And his tune is heard on the distant hill for
The caged bird sings of freedom.

The free bird thinks of another breeze
And the trade winds soft through
The sighing trees
And the fat worms waiting on a dawn-bright
Lawn and he names the sky his own.

But a caged BIRD stands on the grave of dreams
His shadow shouts on a nightmare scream
His wings are clipped and his feet are tied
So he opens his throat to sing.

The caged bird sings with
A fearful trill of things unknown
But longed for still and his
Tune is heard on the distant hill
For the caged bird sings of freedom.

selling our hearts out;
like an auction
bid after bid,
open up the doors to the world
only to perceive we're left with nothing
nothing; nada!

the image of love so warped;
blurred visions,
we hit the skids,
we fail to apprehend,

that only One can satisfy
the One who created us
made from dust,
made for more,
made with love,
by love,
to love

with arms I'll gladly receive
this love given so freely-
this agape love
To those who have been seeking for love, search no more for love has already been given unto you // just an expression of my love for the Father :-)

I am water,
the good
and the evil,
defended by foes;
abhorred by friends.

In the nightfall,
I am but water
with harrowing tears.

Call me a tragedy,
for I am breaking at the seams.
slipping the blade, swallowing the pills,
hanging the noose and biting the bullet.
See now if I had the guts,
this would be done.
But no, I'm stuck in a timeframe where
nothing matters but the sound of his voice,
and it keeps me here.

Complement me, I will deny it.
Be friendly to me, I will wounder why.
Smile at me, I will look away.
Wink at me, I will check for my wallet.
Kiss me, I will doubt your intentions.
Ignore me, I will fade away.

My melancholy self, needs some help.
The Starlings
outside my window
sing a song
of no regret,
there is snow
on the ground
and little food
to be found,
but that's okay
because today
the sun is out
and the sky
is clear,
it is very warm
for this time of year,
and if the
theosophy
doesn't blind me.
I know I'll find me
a weapon to use
to fight these blues.
