Ariel Leann
She was left with a broken heart,
It didn't matter what she believed,
The temptation of suicide ripped her apart,
She felt as if it were a relief

The sadness in her eyes,
The guilt through her bones,
Gloomy gray skies
Where aqua once had shown

Her life was depressing,
Just like a flimsy blade,
It is easy to break,
But can still leave you in pain

All the pain that she endeavored,
All the insanity she would take,
Enough to leave her severed,
As if she would break

Where the blade had shined,
Now she was dull,
Where the stars once aligned,
Now very dismal
You're just so pretty to me
I'll tell you everyday
until you believe me
when I say
you're just so beautiful
to me
and I know that
someday you'll begin to see
you're just so stunning
it's true
but what's sad it that
I'll never be with you
because I'm no one to you
because you're almost a queen
but for now you're still a princess
and there is no magic bean
to help me climb to the treasure
you mean more than any
golden eggs
so don't spare me a penny
because I don't
want a dime
the only thing I want right now
is to see you one last time.
Because you're just so brilliant
remarkable, inspiring and just so pretty
and it's a shame that you don't see it too
it'll always be a pity
until you notice that
that beautiful girl staring back through the mirror
is you.
You're just so brilliant
it's true
and now I think I've fallen in love
with you.

They can tell you all about their dreams
they can sing'em from every street corner
online, offline, on any **** line they want
but I have always had a theory
one good one about us song birds
were busy slinging dreams like cheap dope
because were afraid to live
afraid to take that first step into the unknown
so ******* scared of our own dreams
we talk about'em night and day
mostly at night, avoiding sleep
like lunatics ranting
but instead of hospitals
they got us tied down in bars
forget lithium, they got *****
boooooze I say
and enough drunk ******* to listen
to every petty fear you got
they even let you parade it around
wear it on your lips like a cheap suit
some even start to believe you too
we find ourselves singing from bar stools
like they were mountain tops
every one of us, every last one us
a ******* dreamer
trapped in a real world

Why do we strive for perfection
only to be told we're like an infection
and afterwards feel the rejection
that leads us to have depression
then being told we only want attention
them saying being depressed is our main obsession
the same people who only looked at our flaws & imperfection
for what we want was just to feel admiration
and for our parents showing a little love & affection
what we need is some communication
and connection
and not be treated like an objection
for them to show us to the right direction
so we could look at our reflection
and accept ourselves with adoration
cause after all our genetic information
isn't made of perfection
