this word is a sin to my body. it shows it on my work.
this word stops me from breathing, only to say another word.
this word made me underweight, I was 13 at 98lbs.
this word made me get called the word brat or not a good listener.

I don't like having ADHD and neither does anyone else so don't make it ******* us like when you call us names, we have to deal with this every day and not just your name we try to avoid we avoid conerta and adderal the names of our medication because it makes us feel cornered or stopped but still in your minds were the weirdos a child the should be held back kid. just remember when you see a kid whose already sharpened his pencil 14 times in one minute stand up and ask him if you can help or if he wants to use a pen. -morgan brown 14 years old

Not enough sleep
Forget to eat
Hide under your sheets
The Cuts to deep

Go to school tardy
Homework forgot it
Teachers are fed up
**** forgot to pay attention
Feelings of inadequacy like a cancer in my body
Lunch comes around sorry  but I’m not hungry
And even if I was there’s no one to sit with

Writing poetry hoping someone will listen
To the broken record that is my voice
Hopefully someone will hear me before I lose all hope

They won't let me sleep
Too many ******* questions
I don't plan your life
Move your own **** chess pieces
I watched my calm slip away
the sunday crowd wait in line
in their pretty sundresses
in their buttoned up shirts
in their sunday best
unbeknownst to them
god can be found in the filthy gutter
as easily as the chapel halls
where the potlucks draw the crowd
when the sermons run dry
and the coffee gets cold

she smells like sunflowers
tastes like fresh mint
the jungles in her eyes go on for miles

he looks like thunder
a storm that never quits
his voice puts goosebumps on your neck

her God gives her courage
puts the light in her eyes
He smiles and laughs as she sings
songs of praise
glorifying His beauty
He reigns over her world

his courage dwindles
his dark world absent of light
he cries as his mother screams
his father hurts her
hitting and drinking
is this the love of a father?

he sees her dancing
his heart cries out
for the love of a child of The Holy One

she sees him crying
her God has given her compassion
her heart cries out
for the boy who yearns

she goes to him
to show him the love she has been shown
all along
the love her God gave for her to give

he looks up
sees all the love in her eyes
hope rushes in
and he cries

she holds out her hand for him
He holds out His hand for him too
and he knows He will make everything alright

My mistake.
Forget the signs of
vulnerability,
My tender soul
And all the errors
That slipped
from my lips.
I wouldn't fit in your world.
The beast within
Would tear
hot throats
Beneath the silver moon.
I cannot play nice
Or fit in.
Jealousy, rage —
Impropriety
Betray this honest man.
