#monsoon
Sparkling droplets fell from the sky,
Trees and fields shone bright nearby.
Birds flew free with shining wings,
Joy returned with the rain it brings.
But within days the water stayed,
Clogged in streets where children played.
Clear reflections soon turned black,
Foul smells rising, health attacked.
From ***** pools, the insects rise,
Spreading sickness, silent cries.
Neglecting this, the city lies—
No one cares, even if someone dies.
I would request everyone who's reading this poem to please once go through the long description I wrote and suggest me something to get rid with the mosquitoes or do something about drainage I dont wanna again get infected with DENGUE

Summer skies are a dark, fathomless blue
Enlivened by what was to come, me and you
Hands intertwined to imagination
The rain, the scent of wet earth became our rejuvenation
Entrancing Arizona monsoons bring us together
Praying the down poor and amalgamation could keep us
Dancing in rain forever
And ever
And ever
And ever
Clamorous thunder echoes poetically in my heart
Lightning dances through pitch black skies
Summer’s promise we shall never part
We become spirits of the desert
Entangled with love
It comes crashing down
When I see a glint of light above
The sun shone and the light returned
Dying to be numb
To not feel irreparable burn
With the light comes dark
Your face contorts
All is lost
I knew it would come
I retain my broken heart
My soul
My tears
Like dying moss
The sun peeks through the clouds
I feel the thunderous storm approaching
Excruciating and Loud
Not from the skies
But from your eyes
When the rain evaporates your heart dies
I hope
I pray
I wish
For summer rain to revive your soul
I will suffer through seasons
To again feel whole

The rain dances
on my skin
I pause
and it feels
enough.

The dampness
of the rainy season
is soaking into
My bones
And
Into my being

You know, Shri... Just a moment ago,
I was waiting for your message—
and then came this keen desire-
to hear the sound of your voice.
Meanwhile, it was drizzling outside.
I was overwhelmed by your thoughts...
So, I stepped out for a while.
The weather was pretty—cold and quiet.
I felt the rain fall over me, soft and cool,
tiny drops dancing across my skin.
Then, my eyes fell on a small pit,
filled with tiny droplets—
I dipped my foot into it,
and the sensation-
a language my skin couldn't translate.
It felt so nice—
those tiny drops over me...
They reminded me of you

Tere liye pyaar ne pankh lagaye
Mera dil chahe panchhi ban ud jaaye
Tere liye mor ne pankh bikhraye
Saawan ki aas mein kitne rang dikhaye
Teri baaton ka sur hawaaon mein ghul jaaye
Saans se saans tak chhupi baatein chalti jaayein
Chaandni raaton mein tera khwaabon ka jahan
Tere ishq mein, har pal ek naya armaan hai
Tere liye yeh pyaar pankh lagaye
Door ambar mein panchhi ban ud jaaye
Tera ishq rahe sadaa be-andaaz
Har lamha agla pal sun-hare sajaaye
Teri aankhon mein hai ek saahil ka aalam
Har lehar mein chhupa ek naya manzar hai
Jab baarish thehri, ta-roon kamal khil jaaye
Doodh chandni mein rang bikhar jaaye
Jugnu phir se tere ehsas mein jhil-milaye
Aur mera pyaar phir pankh lagaye
Tere liye yeh pyaar pankh lagaye
Door ambar mein panchhi ban ud jaaye
Tera ishq rahe sadaa be-andaaz
Har lamha agla pal sun-hare sajaaye
Meri fitrat mein tu sadaa basa rahe......
----------------English Translation------------
For you, love has found its wings,
My heart longs to fly, a bird that sings.
For you, the peacock spreads its wings wide,
In the hope of rain, colors come alive.
Your voice melts into the breeze,
Whispers wander with such ease.
In moonlit skies, your dreamlands gleam,
In every breath, a brand new dream.
For you, this love takes flight on high,
A bird that soars in the endless sky.
May this love forever blaze and roam,
Each moment a dream in golden bloom.
In your eyes, a shoreline calls,
Each wave reveals new miracles.
Songs of silence softly play,
With you, each moment’s a rare ballet.
Let not the rain ***** fireflies' glow,
Let peacocks dance through winds that blow.
May you never forget my trembling heart,
Or leave my dreams to fall apart.
When the rains come to rest, pond-lotuses gleam,
Colors blossom in moon’s soft beam
Fireflies flicker in your tender grace,
And love again finds its winged embrace.
For you, this love takes flight on high,
A bird that soars in the endless sky.
May this love forever blaze and roam,
Each moment a dream in golden bloom.
In the fabric of my soul, you will stay,
A breath of my being, come what may...

Skies darken as blue fades,
clouds burst in happiness,
a cascade of drops,
soaking earth,
a rosary of shimmering beads,
crystal droplets dance in puddles,
peering through glass windows,
tapping on roof tops that slant,
on thatched homes that drip,
on twigs and branches,
on ruby tangerine roses and sunny marigolds,
settling in scarlet and auburn crevices,
on emerald leaves and blades of satin green grass,
glistening like drops of morning dew,
and in the midst of the gentle splash of the rain,
there you are —
it is always raining you

The candy clouds are weeping;
Rain comes pouring down
Thunder rolls over the valley
Bringing darkness all around
The once colorful sky
Filled with purples, pinks, and blues
Are now smoky clouds of grey
From this eternal monsoon
The candy clouds are weeping;
So with them I will cry
And take shelter from the storm
Beneath the ancient pine

Hey! It's time to rejoice. The monsoon has come.
The rainy season is awesome.
Clouds that fill the sky bring cool shade.
The coolness it gives is truly portrayed.
Playing in the rain is gamesome.
The rain that frees us from boredom
Birds fluttering with their freedom
Animals too enjoy while they parade
Come! its Monsoon
Plants are vibrant with green blossoms.
Rain that makes everything wet at random
In the rain, sure, sadness will fade.
Happy, fresh memories invade.
Come, in this rain, I am lonesome
Come! its Monsoon

Mind worries as sun blazes
dwindling up water sources
held so close like precious treasure,
As earth spins, yearning for change!!
Soil waits in anticipation
Longing for monsoon’s gentle touch
and to hear stories from heavenly sky
gathered by collective clouds!!
Leaves stretch out their eager hands,
While roof tops become willing recipients
To embrace the raindrops
As convoy from the sky above!!
Mind dances as if on cloud nine
As celebration of renewal
Of dried-up life and leaves...
Waiting for the splash of rain
across every breeze in its way...
Of lone long walks with no barriers
between soul and heaven!!

I love the ambiance, the steady constant of raindrops crashing against the earth
I love how it washes away the pollen and dust
Cleansing the air so I can breathe
I love umbrellas and glossy rain boots in yellow or red
Fat raindrops speeding to bring hope and salvation to the deserted ground
Best of all I love to be completely surrounded by a storm:
Lighting so close it sends a tingle along your skin and lights up the night like day,
Thunder so crashingly loud it resonates in your stomach and feet,
Stirring the primordial fear of unknown power,
of both darkness and of light
of the shadows and not of what casts them
but of certain illumination wrought with paradox,
The wind that blows up my dress and lifts the hair from my neck
filling my umbrella until I feel weightless
For one glorious moment, I almost believe I may float away with the storm
We cannot help but romanticize the phenomenal
Giving ever-changing names and faces to the forces of nature, believing l
or at least pretending
That they’re alive with us.
And maybe,
in a sense,
They are alive.
Not with us,
But within.

kick rocks, use my pedals to find peace
pluck them petals and repeat
my routine engraved, my days are grey
my actions are too discreet
i crave the sunlight but worry of burns
i summon the rain but fear for the worst
floods, hurricanes, eternal monsoon
drought, famine, no more breaking news

Somewhere in the tremor of this monsoon rain
Your heart itched in remembrance
And denial took its hands away from your eyes
and so, you cried,
you cried a mountain of tears
Enough to fill the gardening pots
When you watered your roses
With salted despondency
And the flowers began to wilt
You realized to set these dreams free
But even then, they were too far within
Like the arteries in your chest
Keeping you alive

Moods are in synch once again
with this monsoon season
raindrops come with threads of pain,
maybe there's a good reason
why pain...rhymes with rain.
there's pen and paper
here...there...everywhere
for, when rain pours
is when my poetry flows
softly weeping its woes
like ice...that quietly thaws.

As ocean falls from the sky
On my glass and concrete umbrella
I am engulfed in the petrichor
And lose myself to the winds

In a tearing hurry, came the clouds
bellies fat, moods dark
They swallowed the moon
They chewed the stars
each one
one by one
Whole night the show was on
boom bang – fury & twang
When they were done,
I surveyed my ground:
dripping trees
shivering leaves
wet petals
twinkle eyes
an azure sky, and
One angry sun.

Fragrance of petrichor;
The best beau for her,

Monsoon's panoply,
a dimpled day's
smile;
windstrewn
gulmohars,
a blushing brocade,
'plop'-ing droplets,
a lilting cadence;
nostalgia
pervading through
the silver-scented
puddles of a
paperboat's elation;
July evenings
and
trinkets of
yesterday...

Whispering monsoon breeze
Goes swish swish between the trees
Makes a good recce of the place
Green and proper the trees
Some laden with fruits, it’s pleased
Tickles the magpies hid amongst the leaves
Ruffles the sparrow pecking at the seeds
Waves at the clouds and the crows passing by
Giggles at the trembling basil leaves
The touch me nots, wiggle at the very thought
The champa flowers that slowly bloom
Heady the fragrance, wafts through the rooms
The swift monsoon breeze,
Whispers between the trees
Agile in its ways, soon leaves for another place*#

overcast
you sit
**** on mango skin
the juice on your chin
drips on
basil leaves,
your hands already wet
before the rain
we watch the yellow mountains
spring back to life
verdant, almost emerald
green foliage tender at the end of summer,
nourished by the dead roots
beneath softened soil.

The rain fell, delicate as muslin
heavenly threads, coming undone
From pearly gates of paradise.
Weaving fluid intricacies underneath
The grainy sands, grooved with drops
And canopies laden with silken film
dewy, with crystal orbs suspended
a diamond mosaic radiant
Under the ashen clouds.
Crystalline drops clung
Onto ends of leaf blades
Forming a grand chandelier
Hundreds hung
On slender boughs
And the tree stood with
an embellished crown
Bedecked with clear dew
