tangent lines
Ann Nov 2019
We were two tangent lines
Meeting at one point
That beautiful point
Only to seperate
And never meet again

Midnight Call
Ann Nov 2019
I tried to convince myself
That you're gone
But every midnight
I still hear your song
I still hear you calling for my name
And up 'til now it haunts me
Like the most beautiful nightmare
Clutching on the edges of my foundest dreams
Refusing to let go
And I don't want to wake up
But love,
I have to face another day
This time,
Without you

Signs from God
Ann Dec 2019
I asked for signs from God that tells me you like me
I prayed for signs from God that tells me you were looking at my direction
I waited for signs from God that tells me I am made to spend eternity with you
I received signs from God that tells me you were destined for someone else

Words spoken
Ann Nov 2019
Why is the world this way?
When all the words you want to say
Where everytime and every day
How you are given every moment  to go and display
Whatever it is that your heart ever so desires.
They say actions speak louder than words
But words cut deeper than any other
How powerful words are
In one you can raise up a person as high as the mountains
and in another you can plunge someone into the depths
And yet as one was taught in young age how to speak
Up until now one never mastered the craft
Muster words spoken can destroy whom it is spoken to yet
Why is the world this way,
When you try to hide the words you want to say,
Cause you'd rather be hurt than hurt  another
Not mine but my friend's

(ex)best friend
Ann Nov 2019
I saw my best friend
Well, ex-best friend
We used to be so close
I didn't know what happened
We just didn't talk anymore
We just became cold
I didn't know that your kind smile could do such a thing
It left me
Alone
In the middle of loneliness
When I saw you, my heart raced
Like the air of awkwardness was strong
And it strangles me
It suffocates me
That I can't breathe
And I try my best not to act strange
Cause you known me so well before that you might feel me dying of nervousness
When I saw you
There was literally nothing but space between us
Yet we act like that space was a whole universe
We act like there's a giant wall that seperates what we used to have
T'was precious
T'was sweet
And I can't help but remember the times we spent together
I want to tell you everything but I can't seem to mutter the words
My lips made space for the silence of breathing
But never my thoughts
I miss our talks
I miss our laughs
I miss the relationship that we had
I miss your jokes
I miss your presence
And sometimes, I wonder how it would be if we never grew apart
I slowly raised my hand
But gravity seemed to pull it down
Anxiety pulled harder
But hope just won't give up
Before anxiety won, best friend noticed
Well, ex-best friend
It was too late to back out
I let out a small wave
You returned with a kind smile
And again, you left me
Alone
In the middle of loneliness
