Skeletal trees loom
Like old fathers, emaciated.
The dead walk the streets,
And wind pierces flesh.

There is no snow;
The sky could buckle
From the weight of the clouds,
Smothering you with their
Stark white, dense light.

A shuffling row have eyes like lead,
And their skin is grey and beaten.
Their presence is a weight.
Rows and rows, like sardines
Packed without air.

Shrug it off.
They'll dissolve soon enough.
They'll be washed away
By the coursing river of time.
Why act when you'll have forgotten
By next week? The sun will rise
Tomorrow, why interrupt or
Stamp your foot in the stream?

Avert your nervous eyes,
Cling onto something without consequence.
Swallow orders like pills,
Let them envelop you,
Until your mind is a vessel
And the images presented to you
Are the host.
I thought I would try life in a bubble safe from the worlds trouble
I also thought the bubble would keep me from germs a double blessing
Life here in the bubble seemed to go at a slower pace
I'm here in the bubble away from the human race
I am protected from crime
I am enjoying time with me, myself and I
I am not watching the news no news is good news right
I am shut out from everyone
I wonder does anyone remember me anymore
I'm starting to feel claustrophobic stuck in the bubble
I did not mean to shut out the ones I love
I would scream but no one would hear me
I am isolated from everything and everyone except my thoughts
I am imprisoned by my thoughts
If you were near, you would hear me say burst this bubble and let me out
I want to live life again
I want to breathe again, outside the bubble
Asthma, you take my breath away quite literally I'm breathless
I currently have Bronchitis combined with Asthma, and coughing fits at times
Leaving me gasping for air.

Up to a point
We spend our whole lives searching for superman.
He's hard to find,
But his cape isn't completely invisible.
You can see a tiny bit peeking out from his collar.
He's already been about a kajillion people.
A mom who made you
Macaroni and cheese when you're sick.
A teacher who yelled at the other kids
When they said your glasses were stupid.
The little boy who sat with you at lunch
On your first day at that new school.
The big brother who threatened to beat up
The creepy boy who gave you your first kiss.
That first boyfriend who was there
When your cat died sophomore year.
Superman is almost impossible to find.

But then you hit that point.
Remember when I said
"Up to a point"
Well this is the horrible part.
I mean, it's god awful.
Superman gets really annoying at this part.
It's going to make you want to scream.
Just bare with me on this one.

He puts the cape
On you.
Oh yes.
Now you're superman.
Could anything be worse?
Now there is no one to save the day.
Now you must make your own macaroni and cheese,
Stand up for yourself,
Make your own friends,
Deal with your own relationships,
And handle your own emotions.

I bet your mind is churning now.
You see what I mean.
You've probably hit this point.
Now by this point,
I was furious.
I bet you are too.
You see,
You don't want to be superman.
So this is what you do.
You reject the cape.
But unfortunately for you,
Superman used some super glue.
This is permanent.

Ugh, right?
And now you're going to put all of your time
And all of your energy.
Angrily trying to figure out
Who put this cape on your back.
But you don't really want to know who.
What fun would that be
Just to scream it out
And still be left with the responsibility?
It's good to have a faceless name.
What you really want is to be mad.
I know that my favorite game
Is the blame game.
And I'm willing to bet yours is too.

What we really need to do
Are you ready for the plot twist?
Is realize that we were already Superman!
Remember the time
You did your little sister's make up for her first dance,
Or when you stayed up all night on the phone
Listening to your friend vent about her stress,
Or when you picked up the flyers
That the lady at the restaurant dropped in the street,
Or when you lent that kid two dollars
So that he could buy lunch.
Or when you went home for a visit
Just because your mother missed you.

It's been us all along.
Did you see that coming?
I sure didn't.
the neighbor's cats were involved
in ****** activity last night
the noise they were making
was of no delight

they continued
until the dawn hour came
it is safe to assume
that they enjoyed their close contact game

though I had been
kept awake with the racket they made
I was pleased that the cats
got well laid
if you give donations
to a political candidate
this will obtain favors for you
which so satiate

Mrs Clinton doth wish to become
the next Whitehouse resident
with the largesse of George Soros
she'll be under his cash compliment

***** deals and corruption
will spread like veritable wild fires
as Mrs Clinton is held
captive to power hungry desires

the American people
are the ones who'll have the final say
as the 2016 Demorcratic Presidential candidate
is thoroughly swept away

George and other wealthy donors might find
that they've backed the wrong nag
should they put their wads of money
in Hilary's nomination bag

one Clinton in the Whitehouse
proved to be one too many
and if donors are smart with their bucks
on Mrs Clinton's campaign they'll spend not a penny
