We've changed so much
Since only last year.
We can't talk anymore,
Not without awkwardness,
Generally caused by me.
I miss my best friend,
But he's barely there,
You've managed to hide him from me.
Breathe
Breathe
Slow down
Take a minute
You’re running us ragged
As you jump and leap forward
And we can’t seem to escape your recklessness
You’re dragging us behind you on the strings that we can’t cut
Do you ever stop and see what you’re leaving behind in your hurry?
The scenes of life that go by too fast are like the scenery
Outside of the train as we watch everything go by
At some point, we have all tried to hold on
We have all had those little moments
That we wanted to keep
We reached out
Longing
Broken
Anguish
Because, regardless
You pulled us forward
We all carry our memories on our hands
By the scars they gave us as we left them in the dust
The sharp corners of their images digging into our palms
And leaving drops of heartbreak red blood in our lonely wake
You will **** yourself going on at this breakneck speed
Our myths would have you as an old man
And if you have always been here
That would well make sense
Are not you so exhausted?
Jaded by all you’ve seen?
I would weep
Sob
Soar
If I were you
I would escape
I would have wings
I could go to any time I wanted
I could run away from all the responsibility
That your running onslaught is dragging us toward
Is that all you are trying to do, run away from your demons?
I would be able to forgive you, if I knew you weren’t doing it to hurt us
Promise me that that is all it is, that time itself is running away from memories
I will know then that we have not been forsaken by god
For you see, you are our god with complete control
Our lives are in your hands and you seem
To not care much about them at all
It’s okay with all of us
You are only
Human
vanity calamity, sickening insanity
trying to be myself when all i see is
profanity
running out of wall space and spots
to keep my clothes
try to fold them up but my talent's not
in rows
floor's covered in dust, pencils and
carpet throws
gotta hide my stuff instead of just dispose
I'll hit the pavement before i take another step
my balance is off, body made of things from
where i slept,
tin cans and wrappers, i try to remove
my husk, but i can't in the dusk
my biggest fear is abruptly ****** to the surface
i have no purpose
i'm beginning to rust
Young miss,
I pray thee,
Please do not
Forsake me.

Young miss,
I want you,
Tell me what
I must do.

Young miss,
My soul burns,
For your touch
My heart yearns.

Young miss,
My eyes zoom,
To the future where our baby lies
In your womb.

Young miss,
Do not fret,
Be not afraid
My heart's set.

Young miss,
Believe in me,
have faith
And you shall see.

Young miss,
By your throne,
Shall I stand strong
I'll not roam.

Young miss,
Your eyes capture,
My mind, body, soul
A divine rapture.

Young miss,
Oh, your past?
I dwell in the future,
For time does not last.

Young miss,
I'm only one man,
But for you I will
Do what I can.

Young miss,
I have, not much --
But from a reciprocated touch
Blooms a reciprocated love.

Young miss,
I pray thee,
Take my hand,
And let's flee.
I look behind these eyes,
whole universe is hidden
between your voice, time and days your skin.

I feel behind this skin
all colors that leave me,
between the brightness of your eyes, flowers and your mouth.

Amy Ems
it's funny how i'm not invincible anymore
around you
my advantages dissolve and i'm left with nothing but
butterflies
their wings at rhythm with my scattered
heartbeat
lean close to hear my quiet voice
i'm so shy
unworthy to meet your gaze, those pretty eyes
listen please
i'm a little scared, a little unprepared
a little lost
but i hope you'll stay with me anyway
i like someone.
I knew that she was trouble
From the moment she walked in
With red hair down just to her waist
And a body built for sin

I'd worked this bar for twenty years
And I knew when I first saw her
That tonight would end in heartbreak
With fists flying with the fur

She knew what she was doing
Didn't even look around
Just walked up to the bar stool
And sat down without a sound
The drinks she did not order
Were poured and on their way
This girl came in for trouble
And now, trouble's on the way

Her shirt was buttoned from the top
Two up , the rest undone
She was looking for a good time
She was here to have some fun

The jeans, well they were awesome
They were tight enough to show
She had four quarters in her pockets
And the rest...I think you know

The girl sat down and pondered
As she sipped on the first drink
I watched her from the shadows
It gave me time to think

Which man would be the first one
To approach and be shot down?
Who would be the lucky loser
To get some tarnish on his crown?

A young man chose to venture
To the bar out from the crowd
She just listened to his proposal
And he stood up then and bowed

He walked back to the dance floor
To his table with his friends
Picked up his coat and left them
You know the message that this sends

Another drink soon followed
And the sender came to flirt
It only took ten seconds
Before she stomped him into dirt

I smiled and watched the players
Enter slow and back off fast
I looked around to check out
Just how long this game would last

The drinks had slowed on down now
Not too many left to try
And from the success rate of the others
It was easy to see why

A little fellow wandered
Through the crowd beside the girl
I thought, I'll watch this one a while
I'd like to see him twirl

He waited for the music
To get loud and then he turned
Into her ear he whispered
And she just looked like she'd been burned

At this point she leaned forward
And she ordered him a beer
I'd never seen her buy one
I thought this very queer

I poured the draft and asked him
How did he get the drink for free
He said "This girl's my daughter"
"And she's coming home with me!!"
