Two flies were sitting together,
And one was smacked right on the head,
The other one did fly away.
The unfortunate one lay dead;
A third fly arrived on the scene,
On the ground was his lifeless friend,
He felt lucky that he was late,
Or else that could have been his end.

Laziness waits around the bend,
Always ready to be your friend,
Be careful if with him you meet,
He’s not a nice person to greet.
For he’ll remove your zeal and drive,
And destroy all your aims in life.

Let's travel the highways together,
And swim in the summer seas,
Trek through woodland stony paths,
Enjoy the honey from friendly bees;

Let's climb the distant hills together,
Frolic in the winter snow,
Live all moments with laughter,
And enjoy life with a glorious glow.
healthy living together

Some of us only walk at night,
Right from the day we saw the light,
We grew up in a puzzling maze,
And blundered around in a haze,
This through no fault of our own,
The rightful seeds were never sown,
With luck we'll find the exit door,
Before we fall flat on the floor.

Each of us entered this world
Totally **** as a wintered tree
A bundle of nerves and emotions
And all worldly knowledge free

Each of us will leave this world
Perhaps clothed as a summered tree
Still a bundle of nerves and emotions
Knowledge gained or knowledge free
just thinking

Awesome electric sparklers

When lightning strikes and thunder rolls
Across the vast and darkened sky,
Some people feel with fearful minds,
Some spirits fighting way up high.

When lightning strikes and thunder rolls,
Across the vast and greyish sky,
Some people think with pensive minds,
Gods are angry but know not why.

When lightning strikes and thunder rolls,
Across the vast and moody sky,
We can reason with carefree minds,
It’s Nature’s way to shout and cry!

So whatever the answer is,
We should relax and be at ease.

Little Monkey was most perplexed that day,
He just didn't know what to think or say,

So to Elder Monkey he went to find,
To get an answer for his dubious mind;

He asked "Does God live way up in the Sky,
Would he really meet me if I should die?"

"And does the Devil really live Below,
Waiting for me, my final day to show?"

Elder Monkey carefully did confide,
"You won't meet them at the end of your ride!!"

"So God and Devil don't exist at all?
That means that all our beliefs just fall?"

"They do exist!"  the Elder made it clear,
"Both of them reside inside you my dear!!!"

Little Monkey was even more confused,
"I think Elder's lost his marbles!" he mused.
Introduction: This is a philosophical poem from my "Little Monkey" satirical series. Little Monkey (our hero) is growing up in the monkey world and he, being a bright and thoughtful monkey, is alays intrigued by all things around him. The Elders are the older wise monkeys who give advice and educate all the little monkeys. It is a monkey reflection of our own world .... :-)

Live your life
Love your life
Live your love
Love your love
Live today
Love everyday
Leave your woes
Leave your pain
You will not
Be here again

When we look at things,
With only one eye,
We get half a picture,
Which means we see a lie;

For to see the truth,
We will need both eyes,
Then the view is complete,
And then the falsehood dies;

The problem we have,
Though we have two eyes.
Most times we use just one,
And so we live with lies.
many times we don't even look

Inwardly by yourself,
You have to live your life,
No one can live it for you,
Not even husband or wife,

I drew the paths that I should walk,
Through countless barriers on the way,
The ideas mine were not in vogue,
They were not ideas of the day.

‘Til now I have survived the fears,
Of loving friends who had in mind,
The wellness of my well being,
All their doubts were meant to be kind.

But I have walked the paths alone,
My final stop nearly arrived,
My alien ways have cost me dear,
For some loved ones have been deprived.

Just a slight attempt to love,
Outweighs all actions to hate,
Love is the Heavenly soul,
Hatred leads to the Devil’s gate.
And one must choose his fate.

Walking in the countryside
Dozing on the afternoon grass
Fanned by a cool fresh breeze
Many lovely moments to pass
Gazing upon cottoned clouds
Enjoying singing birds nearby
Listening to rippling streams
Lovely moments to make one sigh

I wave my magic wand,
And Mickey Mouse appears,
I wave my wand again,
And he calmly disappears!

I wave my trusted wand,
A rabbit is before my eyes,
I wave the wand again,
He changes to cherry pies!

I'm ready for the highlight now,
To saw a girl in two,
So I wave my magic wand,
The girl appears in blue.

I put her in the wooden box,
I close the lid and saw,
The trick is ended now,
The girl's now Sue and Maw!

Follow me far, far away, in search
Of a mystic wonderland sublime,
We'll find the map of ancient design,
Lost through the ages of our time;

The map is used in the spirit world,
By goblins, elves, gnomes and fairies too,
With a dozen fantastic places,
Where human beings haven't a clue;

Grinning griffins, cantering centaurs,
Laughing leprechauns, dancing dragons,
Hippogriffs, unicorns, imps and all,
We'll find them in the magic gardens;

Does this dauntless dimension exist?
It sometimes appears in our dreams,
We have to translate the secret signs,
And follow the shining silvered streams.

He is really very fast
With his fingers, hands, and feet
He practises martial arts
And he's really hard to beat
He's in the gym for hours
And never misses a day
For it is his daily dream
To follow the champion's way

Memory dwells as essence of life,
Without which life's lessons won't survive,
For each thought and action that we score,
Is derived from the brain's endless store;
When memory is completely lost,
We will suffer the ultimate cost,
Nothing can we remember at all,
No life have we that we can recall.

Every evening around seven
From my balcony at back,
I see a flock of little birds
Flying eastwards from the west;
They knew exactly where
They were going
For their evening’s rest.

From my balcony out front
I see a flock of bigger birds,
Flying east then turning south
In the sky over the sea;
Going into the clouds
they knew so well,
Where  they want to be.

Just a word, a look, a touch
can mean so very much,
Two minds with a single mind
can leave all doubts behind.

Loving minds that think as one,
When all is said and done,
Will always rise above
anything that tests their love.

If these feelings be achieved,
Tensions will be relieved,
And the hearts that are involved
will have their problems solved.

And having lunch around midnight,
Taking dinner in afternoon,
Somehow something is not quite right?

Little Monkey was mischievous,
like his other monkey friends,
he liked to throw things around,
from the tree top or on the ground

He would throw fruits at the dog,
which barked and growled in vain,
and threw more fruits at the cat,
which mewed and hissed and spat

The elderly monkeys did nothing,
to teach him right from wrong,
they thought it was a fun thing to do,
and they joined him and threw things too
this is one of my monkey poems -)

By the banyan trees late at night,
Come with me for a moonlight walk,
To a secret flowered garden,
Where night owls do their midnight talk;

I’ll take you to a sacred place,
Wherein a nightingale was born,
And keeping our voices down,
We’ll hear his lovely evening song;

There by silver-watered fountains,
Enclosed by purple-white daisies,
On special nights when stars are bright,
We can see the moonlight fairies.

The dark is bathed in a light so pale,
As moonlight spreads its glowing veil,
Like a bride's silk-covered face,
Tempting with a sensuous trace,
Lights of beauty are dotted here and there,
While unsung music hangs in the air,
Somewhere lovers stroll with expectancy,
As they enjoy their moonlight fantasy.

Lovers in the garden one summer’s night,
Were smitten speechless by an awesome sight,
Everything was bathed in a light of love,
The full moon smiling distantly above,
Letting their imagination run free,
They saw fairies beneath a sleeping tree,
Serenity simmering all around,
A lovely moonlight garden they had found.

This is most distressing

That though they know the truths and lies,
The wrongs and rights and all the whys,
Still, many cannot change their lives.

That often heads nod in agreement,
For righteous acts but lack commitment,
To carry them through to fulfilment.

That kindness and generosity don’t stay,
Greed and selfishness always win the day,
Common sense and logic don’t lead the way.

This is most distressing.

Sometimes I will sing,
and if you will listen well,
hear my mountain song.

We were so happy
She and I

Spent all our time together
Flew together
Looked after each other

And then
She fell sick and died

She lay there
In our nest
With eggs unhatched

She wanted a family
But time ran out

So still and lifeless
I watched helplessly
Unable to help

I called to her
There was no reply

Just silence in death
No more happiness
No more flights together

We were so happy
She and I

All is gone
So now I will wait
For the day I die
This poem is in memory of a couple of domesticated white java doves and another couple of fan-tailed pigeons that I had. The female dove died and the male one pined away, refusing to eat until he died a week later. The fan-tailed pigeons were extraordinarily loving, the male one looking after and protecting his mate fiercely. One day the female flew away and never returned. The male one followed the day after and both disappeared.

It is plainly annoying,
When thinking is entangled
In the cobwebs of the mind,
For thoughts that are muddled up,
Are so unpleasant too I find.

I have so many hobbies,
So much fun with various things,
And have to divide my time,
For the joy each hobby brings;
Maybe I have too many,
I think I'm a hobby nut,
But the problem arises,
I don't know which ones to cut.

It's my slave yet again my king,
I shall be master of my fate,
I shall love, I will not hate.

Moonlight can give a helping hand,
To ease a mind that is harassed,
Its mystic rays can calm the nerves,
To leave one pleasantly unstressed.

Nature surrounds us with lasting beauty,
If we will open our eyes to see,
It fills the air with soothing music clear,
If we will adjust our ears to hear,
It helps us live with comfort, joy and ease,
If we will only try to live in peace.
