Lay your sleeping head, my love,
Human on my faithless arm;
Time and fevers burn away
Individual beauty from
Thoughtful children, and the grave
Proves the child ephemeral:
But in my arms till break of day
Let the living creature lie,
Mortal, guilty, but to me
The entirely beautiful.

Soul and body have no bounds:
To lovers as they lie upon
Her tolerant enchanted *****
In their ordinary swoon,
Grave the vision Venus sends
Of supernatural sympathy,
Universal love and hope;
While an abstract insight wakes
Among the glaciers and the rocks
The hermit's sensual ecstasy.

Certainty, fidelity
On the stroke of midnight pass
Like vibrations of a bell,
And fashionable madmen raise
Their pedantic boring cry:
Every farthing of the cost,
All the dreadful cards foretell,
Shall be paid, but not from this night
Not a whisper, not a thought,
Not a kiss nor look be lost.

Beauty, midnight, vision dies:
Let the winds of dawn that blow
Softly round your dreaming head
Such a day of sweetness show
Eye and knocking heart may bless.
Find the mortal world enough;
Noons of dryness see you fed
By the involuntary powers,
Nights of insult let you pass
Watched by every human love.
I remember that day on Mount Tamalpais.
We picnicked under the loving sky
On Bolinas ridge, atop Wicklow hill,
The maiden’s breast.  We found those apple trees,
Who’d gone wild and fell into their world.
A blossom on the way.

I took your picture and you developed into
A sea-horse, or was it a mermaid?  The ridge
Was foaming about you and birds were swimming
Like fish underneath.  We found a tree, an umbrella
Left at the beach.  The coral-grass became our bed
And wine turned into water.

A spiral dance in arms of anemone, it was
All embrace!  That reef was spawning heaven.
At the treasure chest under the sea maiden,
Like children on highland pap, we played
At the beach that day in a castle above the clouds,
Beneath the wave.
*The name Tamalpais was first recorded in 1845. The meaning of the name is not well-established and there are several versions of the etymology of the name. One version holds that the name comes from ostensibly Coast Miwok words for "coast mountain" (tamal pais). Another holds that it comes from the Spanish Tamal pais, meaning "Tamal country," Tamal being the name that the Spanish missionaries gave to the Coast Miwok peoples. Yet another version holds that the name is the Coast Miwok word for "sleeping maiden" and is taken from a "Legend of the Sleeping Maiden."[13][14][15] However, this legend actually has no basis in Coast Miwok myth and is instead a piece of Victorian-era apocrypha.*
It is so much fun making things.
Cutting construction paper,
and printing pictures from the computer,
and making solar system posters,
with colorful comets, and nebulas.
But without my good friend Elmers glue
I don't know what I would do.

Just a dot, and spread it around,
and you can stick Ganymede next to Jupiter,
and make all kinds of cool collages.

You can make little game pieces,
and play galaxy battles with grandpa,
but without Elmers glue
everything would fall apart,
and all the papers would seperate,
and nothing would work!

That's why I love Elmers glue.
Its like love,
because it fixes little broken plastic hearts,
and keeps beautiful pictures, and strong paper together,
so that you can make beautiful and strong things,
which is what love is.

So you can sort of say
that Elmers glue, kind of
is love.
Which is why I love it!

The flying didn't cease, nor did the gravity
but I stayed close to the ground
my mother had told me not to drift too far
but that one time I did
that one time, I,
I tried to stop, I really did
that day I saw the prodigy there was
that wasn't anymore
I saw sanctity gasping for breath
choking on its own emesis
it shouldn't have gotten so drunk on sin
an aura fighting to survive against pretention
hands holding on to a fading faith
slipping like a baby, yet, tripping and trying
my wings set ablaze by the heat of raging insanity

A memory that day was cast forever
A pithy precis comes charging to me

My eyes opened to what I assumed hell
an old man nominally clad in a tattered sheet
pressed a medicinal red cloth against my anguishing wounds
in a hut that barely stood up
hay dripped off its exiguity
drops of water leaked everywhere
but the 4 feet cot that I lay on
the gracing peacock feather near my feet
gave the only colour to my grey eyes

He shivered of his elderly age
that seemed younger than his wrinkles
poverty seemed to have worn him down
but not more than the wickedness around

"My child, are you feeling alright?"

Affrightened and confused by the terra incognita
I merely nodded in affirmation

My eyes looked around to discover a nurturing,
smiling face,
then to a corner with a *** of water
and food meagre for an infant
he took a morsel in a leaf
and presented to me what was left

"This is enough for me my dear,
do you mind finishing the rest,
it is a bit dry,
here, have it with some water instead
now eat well child,
you look like a stick for a girl your age."
then he smiled again,
and walked away
with nothing on his leaf, but the satisfaction of a whole on his face

I looked at the dry bread crumb
moistened by a drop of my tear
trying to force his bites through
I wasn't ready for the hope he shared
my throat was taking bath in ice
his altruism healed my bubble that was burst
this wasn't the insanity that burnt my wings
this was the one that stole a morsel of my love.
To each and every son and daughter
To every single lone soul and lover
Of music:
The only language being truly universally spoken, therefore understood.
Globally impacting, forever evolving, evoking all emotions.
Those having been defined
And undefined
By what we know as the human soul; the growing mind

Never can you allow yourself to drop what has always been an extension of you
You're made up of different parts, what moves legs and hips
The extension of your limbs, those two beautiful lips
Each of the timed, concentrated moving fingertips

She is the lover who will never leave you.
Words spoke true, saying what she meant.
Soul mates, a found treasure, your beloved instrument.

Do not abandon her,
Sound will always be inside of us
Raising and falling, notes and tones from down to up
Drink every chance to learn out of life's beautiful cup

Every chord, verse, note, beat
That replayed unheard melody
Music is love, remembering your memory

The sound you can create is all but what's mortal
Take yourself to higher places, into the dreamer's portal

Never grow old. You are the dreamer of dreams.
Do not; I repeat, do not, let your hard cases tear at the seams
Experiment, take chances, jump high, and be bold
If and whenever discouraged
Forget what you're told.

Times you'll drop the ball, grip slips, almost lose hold
Music keeps us young, don't give up and grow old
Don't stop the music, legends change worlds
Whether it be a million people
Or a lonely little girl

Whether you make history books or one lone journal entry
Life is a book of music, sheet after sheet,
A journey walked with loud noise and bare feet
You will impact ear drums, one life left drastically shifted.
Like sound waves rise up
Hit the stage
Get lifted.

We gifted.

Like a bird I breathed in time
from the star of an evening
filled with two shades of laughter.
I wandered with an empty heart,
seeing faces
that frightened all the love
from the last time
those three little words
floated silently
into spaces
where nothing......
is sheltered.

Different images hold my head up
as if saying
all I ever wanted to be
can be found,
if I move my feet
instead of trying to tame all I look upon
and have become acquainted with.
Nothing smiles at the shadows
left by my broken heart
here on the sidewalk of
“Never Again, I Said.”

Should I pour colored hope
over what could have been a breath of time
and watch the light of the evening star
return warmth
to a water-painted canvas of laughter
we both can hear?
Allow my heart to be filled
with two shades of beauty
so those three little words
can float into spaces.......
held dear.
