When men were men, Mountain men, they would shout out a small greeting to those approaching, some were very discriptive...here is mine:

Born in a blizzard, back in a grizzly's cave,
drank wolf milk, use a knife to shave.
Can out spit, out run, out shoot any known
man alive.
Can fight two or more men just to keep it fair,
now get down from your horse and tell me
what the hell your doing here!

Man I tell you I was born in the wrong century.
Open land, cooking outside, trade my furs for a good woman.
Shoot guns, drink whiskey...hell it don't get any better then that.
Course I would change a few things, like..I would need my toilet paper,
that corn husk thing , well I'm not for all that.
I'd have to figure out how to put a heater and windshield on that horse of mine too.
I'd **** sure would get me a better rifle then that Hawkins( mind you it was the rifle of its time) just to even up the score when them city slickers start trying to sneak away my whiskey.
Ah, yes just rambling. Anyways back to the real world.

This proverbial palace of pen
And paper has room for
Exactly as many as
We are.
Together.
People of Parchment, welcome.
Move in.

Poem has room for your every letter,
Each one of your feelings, all
Pleasure; all hurt.
It's diary, -hallways that go on
Forever-
That you can explore in your mind,
It is birth

Of things that you love, that you see
Your own features in.
Thoughts fit for sharing with minds
Like your own.
It's channel for channeling, channel
For handling the things that arise,
You are never alone.

It's words to the pictures of love
That you witnessed, it's tellings of
Hardships you had
To withstand.
It's more discriptive of lust and of
Pleasure than movies you watch in
The dark with
Your hand.

The Palace of Poem has room for
Each poet. The doors are unlocked,
See the sign: "Vacancy."
Interiour's custom, your personal
Taste as design, and don't ask:
It is perfectly free.

In here there's no grown-ups,
We're children; just taller.
No bedtime, no said time to eat or
Come home.
In here you can choose to create
When you're crying, or laughing or
Tickled or cut to the bone.
-
It's a palace fit for the Kings and
Queens of Expression
That truly live in your
Every
Mirror.

Umbridging the gap

and the platitudes of word-******

as well as the Encyclopedic pimps of posh

spiced with lingual ice...

          Because I am a simpleton

with a thirst for the Beloved

and its discriptive meanings, I am

                       scholarly lacking

    Juxtaposing my script to refer

to references Grecian or urn,

                     enflagrante artisan

                            spurts with superlatives and

personified iambics of rhetorical lines

       limned with deep shagrin

              because my verbs are linear

even when my chicken scratch

                          struck midnight a match stick

flame to illuminate

         my poetic fluffer's formulae

schisms from my own mind's magician hat...

Not to be-little or slight those hands walking

        that yellow the pages

                     with slothly seeking rote

              for meandering bibliographies

a librarian's histology fingers for Captain

Cook / exploration's verbose

           exploitation if at most

                   connecting dots treasured maps

of purposeful / placement for imagery

                         in the textiles

              of poetry's destined and enlightening

cloak & dagger or a Throw

                        or a goose-down warmth

of Love / to blanket the night away

just as would a mother's / tucking in

                from the day's overwhelming

lack of reverances, referenced

oh how to closely listen   / or live

                        beyond the history

to be in the moment

              comparing and sharing

our joys and the power of now . . . keep it simple

because I am a simpleton with a thirst

with a thirst for the Beloved,

the Truth of a promise / endowed Tao of Us. . .

A master
A trooper
A gift
A sage full of wisdom.

A precious one.
A survivor
An angel
A grand writer steeped
with discriptive words.

That is YOU.
That is YOU.
I am honored to know you.

my passions
into a stone-like sheet of velum
I do everyday,
gracefully hammering words from heart.

Each word,
a discriptive part
as I'm a living, breathing tool in itself.

Each phase,
an art of craftsmanship
scribed wih purpose.

Firery torch of creation burns
dancing in flames igniting
stanza after stanza.

Chisel like pen
releases unwanted jargon
only leaving precious textured words.

Until,
my museum of prose is open.
Open,
for readers eyes to view
and dance inside
a writers masterpiece.
