Bill O'Reilly got the boot!
Fox News has said good-by--
A place where reputable commentators
Are already in short supply.

He faces too many allegations
Of ****** harassment. But, oh dear!
What a mess he's made of things
Now in his Fox News career!

Being a brute and a hypocrite
For Bill O'Reilly was NOT hard to handle.
Funny, but he was an outspoken critic
During the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal.

Peddler of white nationalistic
Ideas, O'Reilly does have his fans.
He'll find a job with someone who
Peddles theories as bizarre as that man's.

His sudden departure from the station
Doesn't really affect us directly.
But why doesn't a person like him
Behave more circumspectly?

I guess when your mentor is Roger Ailes,
You have the power to do as you wish--
To regard EACH female employee
Or guest as merely a **** dish.

Thomas O'Reilly was not a fool,
Nor was he depressed or teased at school.
In fact, he was nobody, a no one at all,
Which is why he thought it nice to take a large fall...

So they'd know who he was, a real person now,
One who could choose how he left his mark on the town.
He thought death romantic and noble and right,
He thought it each day, morning, noon, and night.

What Thomas O'Reilly didn't know was, however,
When you're dead, you don't know if you were thought clever
Or nice or smart or worthy of greatness;
All you know is your version of your own self-hateness.

The greatness is in you, hiding somewhere,
It has a small voice, because like you, it is scared.
But if you find it's location, it is sure to come out,
Then loving it will make it scream and shout.

So don't be like Thomas, and live for today;
Find out what it is that makes you okay,
Try something, everything, anything new,
There's a greatness in everyone, yes, EVEN YOU!

Jackson Reilly may not be real
Neither is the story he denied
But somebody saw something
And somebody is the one who lied

He knows what really happened
He’s the keeper of the conspiracy
He was there before you arrived
He’s the one who made truth a fallacy

What really happened?
Did anyone break the law?
The facts don’t mean anything
If you didn’t see what he saw

He’s a pawn just like you and me
Maybe one day he’ll tell us
But it won’t change a thing
A lie has no cause for justice

Does anyone really care?
Everybody knows history is about winners
Is this what we teach our children?
Yet we tell them not to be sinners

Jackson Reilly is a fiction
But that’s where truth goes to die
Somebody saw something
But somebody was forced to lie

What really happened?
Did anyone break the law?
The facts don’t mean a thing
If you didn’t see what he saw

Is today another day we forget?
Are you the person they’re gonna’ deny?
Will we ever know the reasons why?
Will we know the questions to ask
Of a past that told us goodbye?
Way back when somebody decided to lie
