Multitalented
Emily Nov 2013
My boyfriend is
Multitalented
He sings beautifully
Voice of an angel
Used to be a madrigal
He can draw
From caricatures to portraits
Leaves me in awe
He writes rhymes
Raps and beats
Some deep, some sweet
He can skate
Shreds the park
Wheels leave a mark
How did I get so lucky
A dash of fate
And a pinch of destiny
Because he and I
Were meant to be

You are my darling,
You are my sweetheart.
You're my love and your father's just jealous.
I can swoon and I can flatter you.
You're the reason the moon hides behind shadows,
Cause it sees you and gets self-concious about it's figure.
When you summit those mountains, you're the reason those fish swim upstream.
You pick those strings better than your brother picks his nose,
And boy does he do it well.
Rug makers idolize you because of how you weave those words.
The ebbing of the ocean is in constant competition with how you swim the tides.
And with all of your multitalented-genius
I wouldn't be surprised if you could calculate the coordinates of the sun while sprinting a marathon But I know you'd just find that
You are sunshine.
Watch out for those boys, chica, cause the line for you is longer than Gamestop's.
If you never understand how well you recited your ABC's that 1st day of elementary school,
I just hope you know...
You make the bees jealous, honey.

Potential
Kat Raven Jan 2022
Swallow away, lose myself in all that I am portraying.
Resurfacing, coming out the other side.
Remembering all that I am, all that I lost, all that was built, the potential that has no name.
Standing in the crowd, talents that can bring wonders to the world, a brain of Einstein and a body of a dancer.
A painters tongue, I am wasting all that I am born for.
Obstacles defeating my purpose.
My passions have me mentally in a constant war.
I am wasting myself.
Without my passions, I am nothing, a lonely soul with nothing, not even people can fill the misery.
Authentically multitalented.
How do I make it happen?

I’m a **** brilliant multitalented aerialist
who has three degrees
plays four instruments
and is regularly harassed by idiots
(except at work because I’m the boss)
I write poetry to keep from murdering people
just so there’s no confusion
He will be different from other guys
He will have a great imagination
He will make me feel special
He will be energetic
He will have hair I could curl around my fingers
He will be taller than me, or shorter, it doesn't matter
He will be clever and silly, but not stupid
He will hear my cry, no matter how far
He will hear my call, no matter how far
He will never hurt me out of anger
He will have an enchanting smile
He will have mesmerizing eyes
He will always listen to me, as I to him
He will take me out sometimes
He will buy me different kinds of flowers
He will be loyal and trustworthy
He will be in tune and in love with nature
He will always know how to cheer me up
He will be multicultural and multitalented
He will have a pure heart and soul
He will know what I'm saying without me saying a word
He will trust my judgment, as I will trust his
He will not be a smoker
He will be polite
He will be courageous
He will love all kinds of animals
He will love me for me, my inner self as well as my outer self
This was just some ideals I had about what I wanted in a guy. I was a teen when I wrote this. Written before 2003.
