Her Eyes Said

Take my memories,
I wont be needing these anymore

Tell them about me
When I have gone

Take my Energy,
For it will flourish somewhere else
Take me Away
From the pain of holding on

Take my Soul,
It is only withered and Frayed

Take my Life
And I will close my eyes

She is
his morbid distraction.
She's the bullet in his gun
and she's looking for some action.

More than death she longs
to become his blessed bride,
the two will become one
the day she steps inside.

And she gets very tired
walking through the Arctic rains,
but she will pick up speed
when she's running through his veins.

She is
his morbid distraction.
She's the bullet in his gun
and she's looking for some action.

Lyrics? What say you?
Spider-man and X-Men.
The complex characters that we see.
Saving their worlds from minor disasters.
Oh the joys of being free.

Trapped by the needs of others so needy.
And the praise they get in return?
A pat on the back or a slap in the face.
The death of the hero, simply begins to burn.

Batman and Ironman.
The billionaires beyond belief.
High class minds disguised in smart business suits.
Living their egos, their dreams, while hiding their grief.

People know there names by heart.
Knowing if in danger, they will come and save their life.
But simple as it sounds, we can never know the heroes path
One only goal they seem to want; ends in ****** strife.

The Flash and Green Lantern.
All our heroes come in different light.
Costume to powers and histories to pasts.
They soon end up consumed by endless fight.

Media creates the false hopes for people everywhere.
Chaos never-ending; the pain never seeming to cease.
Yet we're all struck with the tiniest of hope.
Uniting as one, we form our own release.

Captain America and Superman too.
Every hero has one thing they can share forever.
Its not so complex that people will never know, nor is a mystery of life.
Its simply, no matter who you are, you are a hero, holding people together.

quiet hope nestled
pushing out from crowded corners
secret wanderlust
Your eyes -
They
Caress me
With
Such a lovely way of violence.
Memory –
Its so vast
Deep oceans of voices
Tapering off to separate compartments
Of silence –

Together in separateness we cross
The darkness at dislocated speeds

(a cough from here & there among the
silent passengers – coughs of blood & sickness)

The engine accelerates in thunder
And flesh makes love to steel...

Some of us –
Lost in vacant pools of thunder
While others –
The past expels me, repels me...
At times
I glimpse you in the crowds
Vanishing as a ghost -
I feel you whispering night to me.
I taste you in secret places
While waking into dreams that are not dreams -
And then
Spectral screams
Cut short
Locked away
In the crumpled silences of paper.
Residents of New
Orleans gathered to wage
war on the world’s
butterfly population.
A stop of time
A stop of heart
Such a horrid crime
It rips me apart
Something so small
Sometimes overlooked
But this time, not at all
This time it's hooked
I can't see past it
I can't see through
I once thought I had it
But now I see,
I've lost you.
I loved you first,
I loved you first...

but the beat of that (pretty little)
heart just wouldn't stop you
from leaving (letting me go)
