Out of reach from any sound,
Beyond the highest thought,
Invisible across an astral scene, too

Aeonian home,
Forever free

The planets are like
great eyes to me,

My wife owns the moons.

The kids have turned
all fix'd and strange,
Been feeling awfully tame,
Poor things,

Remembering days
insane with esprit,
Moving willingly
through tilted palms,
On crescent waves,

Surrounded by
the clearest ever blue,

Deep under sanguinary hues
and tropic reverie that loom
to meet the sever'd, melting sun,

Arising horizons,
One hundred and one

As violent as fire,
Enough for them all!
Good black coffee , toasted pumpernickel bread and mushroom soup
have stoked the imagination of this writer on many afternoons

A cool cloudburst from up high will cleanse this *****
metropolis ..Overfilling the gutters and storm sewers , the viaducts
and retaining ponds , filthy black tar streets , sidewalks crying for
upkeep ..
Rid this unkempt town of dreaded pollen and factory dust ,
stagnant pools of non-potable creek water , scrub the tarmac
at the city airport ..
Wash the 'Big rigs' , the trailers , the railheads , buses and the commuter locations . Shine her tall skyscrapers , her radio towers and her subway stations ..
Polish the walkways , the store fronts and the precious , park greenery ..
Refill the birdbaths , the fishing ponds and the vibrant lakeland scenery ..

Swept away by the waves of the ocean
I find that I'm in constant motion
Searching for dry land or an island
Water is my companion, holding my hand
It is always with me, all around
My best friend who won't let me find solid ground
Both of us are stuck
In this friendship brought by ill luck
Both of us are stuck
My best friend who won't let me find solid ground
It is always with me, all around
Water is my companion, holding my hand
Searching for dry land or an island
I find that I'm in constant motion
Swept away by the waves of the ocean

On Chicago streets every night
Young lives are sacrificed
Don't turn your back
It's *** for tat
They shoot without thinking twice

I asked the baker why he gets to work so early
He said I knead the dough man

He was cruel
was old man Venn

He'd tie two cats' tails together tight
Hang them on the washing line
Stand there laughing
Watch them fight

Different folk, different times
different days back then
But he was cruel
Was old man Venn

There was not much to do down at the zoo
They were all getting bored, wouldn't you?
The keeper was called, we're out of our minds
Help us out, if you'd be so kind

The keeper said, so what can I do?
I'd like to help but give me a clue

Well, said the giraffe it may sound daft
But I've always wanted to play the harp
You know what,  said the baboon
I would like a big bassoon
The emu said, I really do feel
A hankering after a glockenspiel
The lemur requested a violin
Certain he'd coax a tune from the thing
The elephants stood all in line
Already they could trumpet in time
The gorilla said he could use his thumb
To bang away on a big bass drum

They all got their wish, it was quite a scene
And proudly they played God Save the Queen
Happy 90th birthday to our lovely Queen
