*I sang to the moon in your favourite style
with lemonade lyrics and daffodil song
Gathered the stars that I found in your smile,
leaving the universe dark before long

Moved every mountain in spite of their size,
short in the middle and tall on the ends
So that the sunset reflects in your eyes
and to your heart every echo now sends

Painted the oceans in rose petal mist,
colors as soft as the touch of your hand
Walked on a shoreline the waves gently kissed,
followed the footprints we left in the sand

Wrote you a poem of whimsical scenes,
written in verses now speaking of love
So that you know in my wildest dreams,
it’s always you that I am thinking of
Even in my wildest dreams I never could have imagined you loving me.

The way
my heart aches
constantly for you
proves it

*Even the
   tiniest show
  of affection
    from her
   is always
      the biggest
     part of
        my day
When the day is long and out of the blue you find a little heart or a "hi" pop up on your screen, it can make even the worst day better.

I want to tell you that I love you,
every minute of the day
Shout it from the highest roof top,
let my echoes float your way
Sing it in a perfect love song,
lyrics written from my heart
Say it to you as you finish,
whisper it before you start
Yell it all across the valley,
graffiti it upon the walls
Paste it up on every billboard,
leaflets scattered in the halls
I want to tell you that I love you,
so that you will know it’s true
And hope that when you read this poem,
it will say the same thing too

.

Dark clouds gather
above empty fields
where barren landscapes
feel the coming chill
of lonely times
lurking just over the ridge

Shadows of future dreams
crawl slowly in another direction
Desolate figures
on hands and knees
hide from wanting eyes
and grasping fingers

Sunny afternoons are shoved
into back pockets
with the love poems
written for her
that will never see
the light of day

And as they shovel the dirt
upon this weathered face
teardrops create mud
as the realization comes,
that the darkness
is what was meant to be

Where is that forest
where we chased fireflies,
breaking branches
so we could find our way out,
dipping our feet in the stream
as tadpoles ran for cover
neath lily pads
blooming in yellow…

we held hands
and it brought tingling
shivers to my skin
as sunlight shining
through the thick
green canopy
glistened on your
white sundress
and your smile…

laughter and
shadows on
fallen pine needles
followed us as we ran,
looking for fairies
ducking for cover
behind that old oak tree
where you kissed me
for the very first time…

the sun set
and you were scared
of the dark and
I put my arm around you
keeping you warm,
promising every thing
would be okay,
telling you I would
never let anything
happen to you,
and it didn’t

Where is that forest,
hopefully forever
in your heart,
*as it is mine

Party on Friday-
Same on Saturday-

Go to church on Sunday-
Pray for forgiveness

Start over again on Monday-
After all, you've been forgiven-

Or............have you?

You'll find out............later!

(Just because you think you're safe..."your **** could still be in a vise!")
