The spirit within..is a part you …a part me

Two souls intertwined

Holding hands at birth, never to be forgotten

Turned into individual presence that care

The spirit within..is a part you …a part me

Sharing, feeling, loving…it is a natural force for us to share

Although many miles apart…this greatest distance

The heart and soul do not part

The spirit within..is a part you …a part me

Understanding this power, is to realise that we are never alone

Loved ones will come, loved ones will go

Remember…I am here

Without saying a word…I know you hear

The spirit within..is a part you …a part me

When life on this earth will do us part

Just …just for that brief moment…I will think of you

And the smile within, brighten my heart

The spirit within..is a part you …a part me

Knowing that we will always be together

It is God’s gift to us

So let us not be frightened

Heaven is only a higher and promised place

Where souls fly and become angels through the bluest sky

The spirit within..is a part you …a part me

Do not let it go…have this faith

It is God’s will…you will see
This poem I want to dedicate to my twin brother Jan. The poem is about myself and my twin brother. How being a twin makes me internally feel and how much I think of him. A bond that is so special, it cannot be broken, even if we live in different countries.
Christian, seek not yet repose,
Cast thy dreams of ease away;
Thou art in the midst of foes:
Watch and pray.

Canaan has for thee been won,
Christ triumphant led the way;
In His might possess thine own!
Watch and pray.

In the heavenlies see that land,
Satan would thine entrance stay;
Thou against his wiles must stand:
Watch and pray.
If he only knew
how many poems
he has inspired.

We all
share the night.

Tease the campfire,
and toss me another cold one.

We'll tell stories between the cracks of the burning wood.
Or let the trees blanket us in silence.

Once the sun sets, all we have is
time to waste.

So.
Let's do anything,
but fight.
Oh thank you Lord for this last day
with all my heart I hope and pray
that when my body's cold and grey
I'll re-awake beside thee.

When I at last may understand
life's twists and turns that you have planned
created by your loving hand
were only there to guide me.

Into your wonderland of light
where sunny days replace the night
and sound of birdsong sweet and bright
reborn again and so free.

But now this Earthly shadow fades
a growing darkness that pervades
every thought I've ever laid
and eyes that stare but don't see.

So gracious Father in whose name
all life on Earth remains a flame
accept this soul without refrain
thy greatest gift unto me.
The mind is hidden,
Where shadows remain.
Blood is spilled,
Leaving a dark stain.

For the heart,
It can sometimes die.
And tears will fall,
That will never dry.

I am ******,
With both future and past.
To be never forgiven,
For the things I have cast.
With new-age values
and cold hearts all the rage
This lack of compassion
seems met with such praise
People today
I just don't understand
So I start the long journey
of the lone mountain man

All the skyscrapers
they once focused my eye
With dreams of wearing
pressed suits and a tie
But the buildings weigh us down
at least I know they try
So I treaded them in
for clearer skylines

I found art in the woods
music in the clouds
Memories where I've stood
and your love to make me proud
I felt the dance of the creeks
the poetry of the bears
And though I'm still a bit weak
I fear less and less my nightmares

I built us a cabin
with my bare hands
Walls of strong stone
floors of fine sand
In hopes that you'd leave
this city behind
To come join me in
the peaceful country side

But the bright lights
They still have your attention
And my humbleness
It wont draw your affection
I thought I could show you
a new kind of life
One much less busy
with less fear and less strife

But you're still so restless
you're still young at heart
With your innocence intact
clinging to conventional art
Caught up in the city
without a choice
Overlooking soft words
spoken with a soft voice

As my words bleed
into the soft breeze
And my dreams fly away
on the bluebirds wings
My thoughts begin to age
with the red wood trees
And loneliness grows
like grass past my knees

With old fashioned values
and the shoes on my feet
I avoid most people around me
walking on the paved street
I will continue to forge
my own way, my own plan
As I walk on, alone,
As the lone mountain man

Love, like song, is fast
and slow;
A dance to the rhythmic beating
of a heart.
Badump.  Badump.
They twirl, those two,
while lights flicker and fade
around them;
Fleeting, lucent images pass
their eyes
in grand splendor.
