love wanders the Universe
athirst to love
never giving up
lilting toward Sunrise
dreams scattered to the night
you wake.
destined since conception
knit together in the womb
souls journey toward light
all along an ancient road.
with darkness comes the light
to search the mighty depths
no shadow deep enough
to repel loves keening voice
hardwoods reduced to naked indignation -
blackbirds voice their mathematical equations
field smoke bound for the dusken diamonds of autumn ..
dove mourn the close of day ..
the crackling corn ..
Septembers hay ..
a locomotive bound for Montgomery ..
ash enroute to the moon ..

Seeds to winds
Summers end.

Autumn calls;
songs to sing.
the stream is a pretty
mirror, the sky, sweet
sister to the moon,
slumbers in her
arbour where roses
flower mightily, in
love with the night
and the cloud.
