My wife said to embrace my feminine side
So I thought I'd give it a whirl
And though I said I'll do my best
I don't make a very good girl

So I tried my hand at cooking
And now the chicken is crispy and black
The laundry was just my first attempt
And it almost broke my back

I even took a bubble bath
With candles on the side of the tub
But when I tried to shave my legs
The only thing left was a nub

And even though I must admit
I look pretty **** good in a dress
Those dadgum ***** hose were cramping my style
As you can probably already guess

That make-up made me feel kinda funny
And made me look just a little bit weird
I think it clashed with the leftover breakfast
That was hanging out inside my beard

My wife said I made an ugly girl
And she laughed so hard she cried
She said she'd never ask me again
To embrace my feminine side
Sorrow only hangs her head
While walking to the floor
Pride wants all the attention
While Greed keeps seeking more

Shame hides behind the curtains
While Anger demands his way
Fear is too afraid to dance
Impatience just wouldn't stay

Joy was dancing all over the place
While Lust's heart began to burn
Love just watched with stars in her eyes
While Patience was waiting his turn

Confusion didn't know what to do
While Surprise was doing the twist
Shock was so appalled of it all
While Temptation just couldn't resist

The Broken Hearts just sit and cried
While Doubt didn't believe it was real
Now you've seen the dance of emotions
So tell me, how do you feel?
Dulling mind in comments and commas
And introspective melodramas
Draperies
And Cakeries
Rhyming what should be Bakeries
And taketh me
To a different place than this
With super-human strength
And sub-human lips
Crisp
Diner-level chatter
In the back of the mad Gavel's
Hatter
White Matter
And flow of the rainbow
Falls
Let's hike for five miles
And lie for seven
I wish you well
More than I'd wish you hell
But I'd wish both to no one
And I'd wish the latter even less
Than the bestest guest's guess
bag
Beer goggles to the hags
And rags on the bar stools
Cleaning up the bar fools'
leftover lunches
Left on hunches
Atop 4 long legs
Reaching up about 4 feet high
To allow patrons
to reach the bar
to tell stories
about long lost
loves
friendships
dogs
And country music
That some hate
And some love

Poetry is often associated with
the romantic,
the candle lit,
the girl with flowers in her hair;

And hardly ever with
the silent and passionate,
the mysterious
and brave.

But while it is probably
true
that those who never love
will never write,

Happily ever after
never made that good
of a story.
look  what they done to my freedom ma,it was just here a few minutes ago,but America done stole it away, chains on my neck, wrights and feet every day took the will inside, its enough to drive a grown man insane.look what they done to my freedomma,my silent tears water the dust mixed with red blood, crying from the inward pain. look what they done to my freedom ma, master in charge ***** both daughter and wife, cut my manhood away.all of me is hurting every day,my forbidden voice has no say.if I could just  rest on your ******* for a little while until the long night turns into the golden day.noose around this old life ma-so I can't go astray.look what they done to my freedom ma-done turned me into a slave,my freedom was just here a few minutes ago,but America done stole it away, look what they done to my freedom ma

pondering **** Jagger
and who’ll inherit his lips when he dies.
smoke chains from my mouth and
Motown comes to mind.
What I Got is a pregnant cat
with cautious green eyes.
what i think i’ll do is wait,
but when will i stop?

i’ve read my calendars
birthed my charts
and i still can’t decide.

wind blows up my shirt
school buses scream by.
Hey, Children, Hi.

my nicoteen teeth burp
and i’m pushing out a cigarette
heading back inside.
