The men of violence may break our bones,

Gold for the Soul
Rangzeb Hussain Feb 2015
We are richer than we know,
and still blind to our wealth,
Remember this,
not all wealth can be held,
measured, or felt by human hands.

There is some wealth
richer than all of that.
It glows right before you.
Reach out with the mind's eye,
And place the treasure in your heart.

Headlines confused with stale paranoia,

Switch off the media,
Silence the social lies,

In the gift of a warm season take delight,
All pain is but a shadow in the closing of a day.

Mother, My Mother
Rangzeb Hussain Mar 2016
Mother, My Mother,
My fingerprint of Humanity,
The soul of my soul,
I miss you so much,
In the hardest winter of existence
Your smile still warms my weeping heart,
One day, I know not when, we shall meet again,
And I shall feel your warm embrace again,
And winter will melt away into memory,
Nor shall there be tears or weeping of the willows,
I shall stand atop the highest hill
And the rain will wash away all grief,
And the spirit of Love will sing,
It will sing of a love deeper and older than time,
It shall sing of a hymn written by the Beloved,
And the melody will be Life,
And the lyrics will be of birth and hope,
And the chorus will be sung in valleys across Heaven's shires,
Mother, My Mother.
Rangzeb Hussain Jan 2016
Inside all of us glows the heart of peace,
One day upon the wings of weeping peace,
There will be those in love with life and peace,

Those fortunate few seeking rare pleasures,
They will find the Treasure of Treasures,
Death will have no power or measure.

Stand under the raining twilight,
Stand under the kiss of night,
Stand under the reason of light.

The Silence of Songs
Rangzeb Hussain Jan 2016
The flow of life will one day ebb and die,
All flesh will one day in the ground rest,
Even stone and marble will one day decay.

Seize what you have today,
Savour what you have today,
Love each and every day.

*NOTE: Dedicated to a sweet and sincere lady who last night left this world. She leaves our world richer with her heartfelt poetry, her warm smile, and her passion for her fellow human beings.  May she rest in peace in the home of the eternal Beloved.

In the midnight light
Lightening seeks a searching soul,

Embers of dreams glow
From the dark pools of the eyes,

And ripples over symphonic lips,

The spirit of Freedom
Lives on the pages of a new day.

Never leave for tomorrow
what you should have said today,
Time is merciless,

Sometimes, in the way of the world,

We lose track of the priorities,
We lose track of loved ones,
We lose the very thing which makes us smile.

Loss of love teaches us,

One day,
And that day will come,
You too will sit back and remember.

You will live on in our memories,
You will live on in our prayers,

Your smile, your spark,

May this sweet angel play safely
In the eternal fields of freedom,

An Autumn Hymn for Humanity
Rangzeb Hussain Oct 2019
The seasons of earthly existence,
Breathing in the colours of humanity,

The spirit of autumn light glows,
Over the green and gold,

One day, upon the oceans of time,
Humanity will dance to the Beloved's song,

A lyric written at the dawn of awakening,
It shall release all glittering souls.
Rangzeb Hussain Oct 2019
The trees of summer fade away,
Their songs whisper upon the air,

Nations withering under occupation,
The lust grows for the earth's lifeblood,

There is no profit in war and invasion,
Only loss, deep and heavy,

Remember this, O Man,
The seasons of existence are a circle,

The touch of life is light itself,
These bare branches will blossom again,

The Beloved's kingdom will glitter and pulse,
And the light will glow across us all.

Hope in an Abandoned World
Rangzeb Hussain Apr 2017
A homeless man,
living in a rotting factory,
found a limping crow,
crawling on the road,
about to be crushed
under the wheels of a car,

The man ran into the road
and saved the bird,

He got some water,
and he found some straw,
and he built a nest,
and bought some seeds,

In a crushed world
where animals and birds
are shot for man's mad sport,
the tale of a homeless man
saving a bird
gives the human race
hope for redemption.
Rangzeb Hussain Jun 2018
The name of the Beloved is in every place,
Every nest,
In every light,

The Beloved is the light in the dark,
The dance in the flame is the Beloved's song,
Only those in love with love can hear that immortal tune.

Whether you are a person of faith,

Whether you are from North,
South,
East,

Whether you lean Right-Wing,
Or Left-Wing,

Whether you are Rich,
Or Poor,

Whether you are Black,
Or White,

Whether you are Here,
There,
And Everywhere,

One thing NEVER EVER changes…
The way MAN controls WOMAN,

From the moment a girl is born,
People run around,
Society comes calling,
Elders come pointing,
All seeking to lay a word here
And a word there,

A Woman is constantly under pressure,
She is ordered around,
Manipulated by friends and foe,
Made to feel guilty and inferior,
Told to wear this and that,
Held behind as Men progress,

I say one thing and it is this:

Let a Woman have REAL CHOICE,

And those who dare to point fingers,
I say to them look to your own lives,

My faith is Humanity,
Not Man made insanity,

The light of the Beloved glows on all,
Seek compassion,
And be at peace.

To ride upon a steed where dreams flow upon freedom's highways,
The eyes of the world watching from painted man made veils,

Her voice shall never be silenced or suppressed by false knights,
In her veins the song of life sways to the rhythm of her heart,

Those storms that rage in the printed ink of the newspapers,
And the daily lies and stereotypes flashing across television screens,

None of them will breach the fortress of her inner peace of mind,
Inside, in the tranquillity of her soul, she swims in the seas of serenity.

Time is Friend to No Man
Rangzeb Hussain Mar 2018
Time is friend to no man,

And those who delay being with the source of warmth that nursed and loved them,
They will learn the lesson of tears and grief when the hour becomes cold.

In this day of the internet, mobile phones, and apps to communicate,
We are the most emotionally cold and remote of all societies in the history of the human race.

If you have a Mother, and she is still alive, be there for her,
Forget work, forget friends, forget the merry-go-round,
Pause your life for a moment and seek out the embrace of your Mother.
Rangzeb Hussain Sep 2019
In these fields of humanity's fragrant summer,
For a delicate moment she pauses and contemplates,

Upon that bridge of time's fading seasons,
She smiles and reflects upon the hope of humanity,

We are all children of the eternal Beloved,
And one day we shall all play freely and be as one,

One family, one nation, one world, one love,
And hate shall be but a distant memory.

The War Crime of Poverty
Rangzeb Hussain Dec 2019
Paris, Moscow, Berlin, New York, London,
City of angles where the poor are abandoned,

In a windswept corner of a merciless winter street,
The discarded soul of a divided nation sleeps,

This man is a forgotten mother's human jewellery,
He lounges on the concrete pillow of rich cruelty,

A blanket of cold wraps around his exposed feet,
Torn clothes flapping over another statistical tragedy,

He sleeps beyond the smears and headlines of hate,
The hymns of hope and light arrived way too late,

No one will remember his voice or fading songs,
For he is from the tribe of the invisible broken ones,

Their stories and brief lives brutalized by silence,
Once, they were a part of life's cosmic balance,

There is a war being waged upon the human soul,
A battlefield littered with bloodstained begging bowls.
Rangzeb Hussain Nov 2019
From the heights of freedom's songs,
Seated upon a throne crafted by time,

The plague of war wasting away nations,
Through this darkness a glimmer of light,

The Beloved's uncaged domain,
Solitude breathes over the soul,

A bird sang and a song was heard,
The delicate music so still and lyrical,

Peace was the precious melody,
Glittering unity for one and all.

Your radiant smile, oh my brightly flavoured darling,
I saw the light in your smile beaming from far away,
Holding two warm cups, you carried the tea of kindness,
You glided over to me with a graceful dancing step,
Our greetings, our warmth, our joy and twinkling zest,

In the window of my mind I welcomed you in my arms,
I held you close, ever so close, I inhaled your perfume,
The contours of your lush landscape merged into mine,
Our two worlds wrapped together as one sweet soul,
Our laughter, our steps, our chats and sparkling auras,

In the golden autumn air we gazed upon treasures rare,
The leaves floated like confetti all around the canopy,
Pigeons puffed their plumage and danced for the girls,
You and I, we admired the colours of autumn's passion,
Our shoulders gently weaving and caressing in harmony,

My lips tasted the golden light in your gorgeous eyes,
Green, amber and gold carpeted the glittering park,
My nose tickled the tip of your nose in a rosy touch,
Upon the parting of the ways time seemed to pause,
On the way home I still walked with you, hand in hand.

Autumn in the Eyes of Venus
Rangzeb Hussain Oct 2021
Crisp the air, and bright the day,
Brighter still was your radiant trust,

Your delightful honeyed greeting,
Eyes glistening with mesmerising magic,

Your courage is a cherished treasure,
Strength glimmers deep inside you,

We two walked as one delicious lyric,
Each of our steps lit with fresh hope,

Tan suede shoes gracefully tapping,
High heeled over hills and canal stones,

Holding your soft hand upon the crest,
Our fingers waltzing together lovingly,

Larking downhill with shared earthy joy,
Our laughter swirling through the air,

We glided under nature's canopy,
Dancing with gleaming inner peace,

Our journey a serenade of sentences,
Your words weaving softly into mine,

Your name is nectar inside my mouth,
My name with your voice is a melody,

Lush rose petal lips butterfly shaped,
Silken threads of sunlight unite us both,

The doors of our inner dreams opened,
Trees and waterways became our lounge,

We melted each other with pure passion,
Unveiling layers of transparency,

Upon the bed of the vast open garden,
The fingers of sanctuary traced over us,

I swam so shyly in your amber eyes,
Throbbing with ripples of pure bliss,

Our touch, the silky touch of our eyes,
A bridge glowing with intimate dignity,

On that curved soul ridge sat you and I,
Both sharing a flawless drink of respect,

In an age of icy cybernetic existence,
Both of us knew a much warmer tune,

Breathing in the sublime moments,
Tasting the scent of the late season,

The essence of your gorgeous patterns,
Darling, you and I, we discovered solitude,

Our spiritual kiss, it was ever so deep,
Lips and tongues wrapped in rapture,

This kiss, it twinkled and caressed us,
Musical notes felt in the fabric of our souls,

The fingertips of two unexplored worlds,
As we two parted, we felt the air pulsate,

In our minds we hugged each other close,
This was our mystical and tender embrace,

Oh, my gorgeous eyed dove, fly freely,
Reach for the soul of the vast cosmos.

Sing of the song of peace,
