Simplicity in moments
Moments
of simplicity
When movement
Ceases
And silence reigns
In hearts so free
Simplicity
In all things
Simplicity
In moments
When  to me
It seems all things
Mean nothing at all
Rai Jan 2012
Your words are infinately sweeter
than the dew in which you bathe in at dawn
Smile
You smile
Silently hoping
For the world to swing on its axis

There he will be*
Standing tall

Alone

For he is your truth

Your ultimate

Your one

Saviour his love

**For tomorrows feast
Shall surely die before it is born within your mind's eye

She wove baskets for a living
Simple lass
Not a penny to her name
But a heart so free
She found her happiness
Floating on the breeze
That held onto her memories
Of a time when

He came full of wealth
Missing something all his life
He saw it in her eyes
A heart so caged
Waiting to be set free

Whisper on the breeze of understanding
As you looked  into her eyes
Sapphire glances
Sadness so complete
As strangers do pass
A match of a kind
But he was so blind

He saw kindness
A face porcelain laid
Dark hair cascading
In ringlets
Dancing onto her shoulder’s so bare
He wanted her too much

When he looked into those diamond eyes
Her rags became another’s disguise
But when he awoke
His mind played a snobbish joke
How dare she look upon his face?
Tantalising
*****
Fool
Fake
How dare she tempt him
With her sapphire sweetness
And pureness of heart

Poor child
She saw his fear
She saw him
Caged
She felt him
Poor child
Who had fallen from a moment’s grace?

Some day she will wear diamonds and pearls
Someday this child will rule the world
One day the noble man will fall a fool
Never to stare into the golden pool

She was an angel
Come to test
The rest of the tale is now
Laid to rest

You come creeping in
cut me down
You would rather call me lier
Than know the truth
Looking sidewards
When met by my truths you close your mind
Not wanting to know
I saw you
walking  dusty roads to forget the meaning
fragmented lines of meaningless segments
haunted like a child abandoned to the wind
I will not turn into the hollow frame
I once was
You filled my soul
Made me fly
And yet
Where are you now
Memories hold
Sunshine
Which flickers through shadows
I so yearn for more than I have now
Please
Just please is all I have to say
Before tomorrow engolfs me once more
Rai Nov 2011
Fatalistic attitudes of fanciful weaknesses resides in my mind
And I remember nothing more than a savoured moment
A connection
Which I dont know
I just cant find any more
Ive wandered the rooms of your existence
You spoke of truths which wove in the fabric which belongs to all
And then you turned to leave
It was about this time last year
Im sure you remember
Misted windows
As I breathed too deeply
Felt too much
Wished too hard
I would hope you were happy
But really
I know your not
Happy days begin only
When they are the ones
We decide to choose for ourselves*

Many paths
Many miles
If I loose you here
Then remember
Just remember
To breathe
Rai Nov 2011
Within whispers
I sit alone
Unable to be the person
You thought you'd found
The one to spread a rainbow before you
And savour the wild desire you bare
I'm sorry
You just seemed to want so much
The broken man
Who has never lived
And yet has been to every corner of his existence
So transparently you hold me close
Only when there is more to me than
What I seem to give you
Do you seem to care
I never said It would be easy
You never put me anywhere between being first
And right at the bottem of the pile
No I didnt want your money
It was never about that
Thats why I didnt take it from you
Love in its purity
Was that not enough
Did you not believe it to be true
Love never breeds boredom
Love flies with birds
And holds tight to a truth
that can never be seen with the naked eye
I dont know how long
But I know its not for ever
I know your never be my
Mr right
Cos Im just not the women
You want me to be

She sweeps away the cobwebs with her fingertips
The silken web of a spiders thread
Do Spiders ever wonder I wonder
About using somethng more lasting
Does it depend apon the feast they have consumed
As to the quality of the thread they weave
After all to you and I
A cobweb is merely that
A nuisance
A sign of dirt
Unkept ceilings hanging with the tombs of yesterday's memories
When the sun shines through the web
It becomes a piece of art
A piece to be fashioned in silver or gold
And laid to rest upon the rich girls breast
She sweeps the cobwebs from her fingers
The silken web of a spiders thread
Then pins to her breast
A piece of art
A reminder that beauty is often flawed
To the eye
That can not see in black and white
